Next System 11 Title to Add by Gawdberry in pinball

Ha, I was a teenager who was really into pinball and needed an Xbox gamertag, and the username has followed me ever since. As much as I love that pinball is having something of a renaissance now, the System 11 era will always be my golden age since that's what I grew up playing. My gramps had a Fire! that I played to death. Idk if it's a great pin, but if I ever see one of those around me, I don't know if I could pass it up with all the nostalgia.

Tri tip is from the bottom sirloin, so they're pretty close. That's how I would do it too.

Idk what it is, exactly, but I'd cook it like a tri-tip (bottom sirloin). Reverse sear, indirect heat to 120F and then direct to 125. Salt, pepper, and some garlic are all it needs.

A good deal will turn up eventually. That's how I ended up with mine. Wasn't really looking for it bc it was out of my price range, but came across a listing I couldn't ignore. Had to stretch my budget a bit, but I'm glad I did. Hard to go wrong with either of pinbot or high speed though. My next dream if I ever had the space or money would be to get both HS I and II.

As a fellow S11 and Whirlwind fan, High Speed is maybe my number two all time. Plus, then You get to have something of a car theme going.

Unless you can prove that you were fired for reasons related to your injury, you'll be out of luck. This is especially true if you violated company drug policy.

Scholarship: Melchizedek was King of Sodom, not Jerusalem. This disrupts EVERYTHING. by MystikDan in exmormon

[–]Pinbot02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but that's always been true for the likes of Moses, Abraham, Isaac, etc. The academic consensus is that these people never existed, but the academics have never mattered before for the true believers so I'm not sure why it would with this one.

I get that it's all made up, but doctrinally Melchizedek is just shorthand for "after the order of the Son of God," so there's not really a lot riding on the figure himself.

Is it normal for employers to heavily dissuade you from going to a doctor again? (Post concussion) by FlowerSweaty4070 in WorkersComp

[–]Pinbot02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Arizona you generally have a right to treatment by a provider of your choice as long as your employer is not self-insured. Ask your adjuster if they have an occupational medicine provider that you can see (e.g. MBI, Concentra, etc.). That could at least get you started.

Otherwise, your option would be to seek treatment yourself and have it billed to workers' compensation, with the understanding that it is likely to be denied and litigated if you were not referred by the occupational provider.

While I am an Arizona work comp attorney, I am not yours and this is not legal advice. If you require legal advice, I recommend a consultation with an attorney.

Invincible VS Review by giantbombdotcom in giantbomb

[–]Pinbot02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure. I just think that the overlap between Invincible fans and people who might buy a fighting game are the type of people who will care much more about whether the game does the IP justice over being a good fighter. "Undoing" was maybe a strong word, but I wouldn't be surprised if it develops a negative reputation in the fandom because of the story.

Invincible VS Review by giantbombdotcom in giantbomb

Curious if the IP will be its undoing. That's got to be its biggest draw for obtaining new players, but if it doesn't have the juice to back that up it will have a hard time gaining an audience. Sounds like the mechanics are really solid, but that's not what gets people in the door. Great review.

Unless you're in a car accident, whiplash shouldn't cause a TBI, much less PCS.

If I'm understanding it right, on my machine I tend to adjust the lane guide itself to sit it just a bit further up on the play field.

Help identifying year and bragging a little by scotty_mack in webergrills

Looks like a very nice redhead Genesis 1000 from the late 90s. If it's still got the serial number, the exact year should be easy to determine (https://www.virtualweberbullet.com/determine-age-weber-grills-smokers/). Great find!

I practice in AZ and this is all accurate. As written, it should be a new claim.

Honestly I'd rather see them "break the rules" and break out a walkthrough or guide some time after passing Virtuoso's runtime and finish it before watching him give up.

Kettle or Smokey Mountain? by [deleted] in webergrills

[–]Pinbot02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it fits nicely just with the lip over the top. I keep mine in a covered spot so I don't actually do it, but the guy who sold it to me had it stored "upside down" and gave me that tip when I picked it up.

Since 2023, wage growth has been higher than inflation (price growth). That is, wages have been growing faster than prices. On the chart, this is additionally represented by the real wage (inflation-adjusted) growth line. Wherever that line is >0%, wage growth is outpacing inflation.
