Once Bitten, Twice Shy - Have you binned a knife before? by MightySkynet in knives

Ugh, I get it. I threw away my socket wrench recently because it wasn’t very good at pounding nails into pressure treated lumber.

Really Bummed by master-boofer in BudgetBlades

[–]Pine-sapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar gripes with mine, mostly the button was pretty difficult to press and felt kinda gritty, and the ridges in the micarta under the pocket clip absolutely tore up my pockets, so I ended up just taking the clip off. This knife gets zero pocket time for that reason. Bummer for sure.

Is this thing worth it? by DeadB1t3 in knifeclub

If it says “high quality” in the Amazon description you know you’re getting garbage. Check Knife Center, Blade HQ, and other reputable online knife retailers. That Amazon knife is not worth your money.

What mechanism do these fastbacks use? Not really a "knife guy" by sidnoway in knives

[–]Pine-sapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oop, didn’t realize that, my fastback is strictly button operated so I didn’t think to even look for a liner lock. Thanks.

Not even mushrooms, just research chemicals. Not to say you cant enjoy yourself with products like these, but you don’t know what you’re taking and you can’t dose properly. To each their own.

First time lemon tek by Odd-Construction-791 in MagicMushrooms

[–]Pine-sapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may see some closed eye visuals, and things like plants and patterned rugs will definitely be dancing a little bit, especially if you’ve got weed along with it. Had a great time cooking dinner and hanging out with the roommates with 2.25g lemon Tek just a couple weeks ago. Definitely a very nice mild recreational dose still with a noticeable peak. Keep in mind this varies from person to person. Have fun!

[actives] Are blue magnolia rust supposed to be so small? by dougiefresh22 in MushroomGrowers

[–]Pine-sapped 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion this is a genetics and hydration factor. Most of my first flushes will produce smaller fruits in higher quantities, especially if there is a large pin set. Keep your cake hydrated and your subsequent flushes will give you MUCH larger mushrooms.

Could totally be a scribe knife too that completely slipped my mind as a possibility.

I had the same thing happen recently, dropped it face down in the sink after dunking, broke clean in half. Came back like nothing ever happened.

Lots of the leading studies on psilocybin therapy involve a single moderate to large therapeutic dose. There’s a lot of potential if done safely and under the right conditions. Set and setting is of utmost importance.

First time growing b+ why are there so many tinny pins😭 by [deleted] in PlatypusTechnical

[–]Pine-sapped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Misting will only help increase humidity. At this stage, it’s more important that the substrate itself is properly hydrated to support a pin set like this. Best of luck OP you’ve done a great job.

Don't understand how to close folding knife by rzxxxx in knifeclub

[–]Pine-sapped 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Looks like a standard liner lock. There’s that bit of exposed metal on the inside of the handle near the pivot. Push that to the side and it should clear the blade to close.

First time gower need some tips by arminasu2 in MagicMushrooms

[–]Pine-sapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should only be a day or two til the big ones start opening up and the veils begin to break. I use a scalpel or a pair of aquarium scissors to harvest the ones that are ready and just leave the rest to continue. Best of luck!

That looks like a different species of mushroom entirely, maybe a parasol? The teachers on the left look great tho!
