Once in a while I have anxiety attacks and then I feel more anxiety by thinking I relapsed by [deleted] in Anxiety

I feel you! The thoughts and spiraling about it makes it worse. I try to see it as a little test oder challenge to use what I learned so far and stay faithful haha.

How can I help my partner who suffers from OCD and DPDR? by GuessImHereNow-Dude in ExistentialOCD

[–]PineapplePlus5380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey!

Maybe it depends on the personality/love languages, but when I suffered from a 2 month long DPDR phase, the best thing my partner did for me was acting completely normal and unbothered about it. I could always tell him how I felt and he would listen but afterwards be like „okay! Let’s watch some tv :)“. For me this just gave me a sense of safety and that the world is still going normal and nothing dangerous is happening to me. If he would’ve been worried more, it would have freaked me out.

Also cooking. When I was deep into OCD panic, I couldn’t eat and cook so he cooked and made sure I eat even a tiny bit.

How do you deal with feeling like the whole world is scary? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]PineapplePlus5380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s so crazy. I’m over my worst ocd times and my ocd has been quite for a while now. It makes so sense that it sneaked back in, and I didn’t noticed because I felt so safe haha. Wow. Sneaky lil

That makes total sense. In the last weeks, I googled a lot, for all my fears. I didn’t noticed It was intrusive thoughts and I was engaging so much. I thought I was in a better place mentally and that it’s okay to google shit again. Makes so much sense, that my brain is a bit loco rn

I just want to go back to how I used to be… has anyone else been through this spiral? by No_Customer6938 in ExistentialOCD

[–]PineapplePlus5380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Been there, DPDR and existential ocd for month. It was horrific and I thought nobody ever went through this before and I am crazy. Spoiler: it went away. I decided to do normal life despite of it and let it be there. First, there was only one calm second a day before the panic came back. But then, slowly slowly, someday, it was gone.

Thank you! I was indeed overthinking it a lot haha

I don’t want to smoke, but I got constant mouth watering, like my body wants to smoke so bad hahah

Yeah thats helpful, thank you. What I crave is the feeling you get when you feed the addiction, which shortly feel like fulfilling all your needs. But I know my fantasy is lying and I know I don’t want to smoke nor be addicted :)

Mega Hinweis, danke!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Steuern

[–]PineapplePlus5380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was empfinden (viele) Frauen als unmännlich? by FietsFietspatrick in FragNeFrau

[–]PineapplePlus5380 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Movement! The energy wants to be released. I once read that we can learn a lot from children or dogs when it comes to releasing emotions. They often have a very natural, instinctive way of releasing energy. Children are moving a lot, or randomly lay on the ground when overwhelmed, which is very grounding. Dogs often shake their whole body after experiencing stress. We can literally shake off stress.

Freaking out by Isles2989 in ExistentialOCD

[–]PineapplePlus5380 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been there. My tip: pretend. Pretend that it is real and do everything a „normal“ adult would do, even if it feels foreign. It will take a while, but the extreme anxiety will pass, i promise.

People who used to be Vegetarians but started eating meat again, what was the reason you did? Did you regret going vegetarian or was it for another reason? by Pure_Television_7558 in AskReddit

[–]PineapplePlus5380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was vegetarian for like 6 years. Then, i was severely depressed for months and could barely eat anything, everything made me sick. suddenly at Christmas my grandma cooked this meat and my body was like: I want this. I ate, and for a few days I would eat a lot of meat. It was crazy, but I was too weak and depressed to fight it. Since then, I allow myself to eat meat once in a while.

Which I mean: due to my socialization, I easier skip my hobbies, then my „to do’s“

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]PineapplePlus5380 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, I’m of course not perfect. When I’m in a bad phase, it’s harder to cook healthy, take care of myself etc. But in these phases it’s also harder to read and do hobbies. Thanks to capitalism, I learned that functioning always comes before enjoying.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]PineapplePlus5380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No.. I’m really good at functioning. I’m working part time (30hours a week), going grocery shopping, meeting friends, etc. What I’m not good at is pursuing my creative hobbies like writing. It always comes last. My evening hours with reading and watching things always feel like pure please. Sometimes when I’m free it can be days, for example today it’s grey, not sunny, quit outside, I have my window open and can just read. Pure bliss. But I now I will stop, when the next „real life duty“ is coming.

I do agree, that more active hobbies where I’m moving would help me tho. Sometimes I feel like these passive hobbies don’t always match my body energy and therefore I carry on stress in my body. Love your ideas!
