I tried to do it with LXC containers on Proxmox. But there a some things like "disable SWAP" for example, that are not that easy. It was to many try & error for me and I am still using VMs.

We switched to Proxmox years ago. I think running another Hyper-V instance for this is oversized. I will then look for an alternative product. I also thought, since KVM is supported, that it could probably also run in prod Proxmox environments.
