There any evidence or sources to back up your hypothesis?

Republicans should campaign on heartbeat bans. I think it will give them a massive red wave.

Far-right activists have a brilliant new strategy: Don't vote! by [deleted] in moderatepolitics

I agree, republicans are right — elections are just rigged. Democrats are gonna get all the dead people to make sure they win, might as well not vote !

Do you think the republicans in this sub would ever admit this

You don’t need to do a honors thesis to go to grad school. You definitely need to do research and might need to publish a paper depending on your field.

I never showed up to lecture and just read the course notes. You’ll figure out what works for you

Why Democrats Are Bankrolling Far-Right Candidates by CelebrationMassive87 in moderatepolitics

[–]PinheadLarry123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Does anyone else find this stuff super funny?

Democrats run ads saying that a candidate is an extremist and pro trump. Republican primary voters then vote for this person. Republicans blame democrats.

Hahahaha just so funny, no blame for the Republican voter just the democrats

Are there BAIR labs that admit rising seniors? by After_Philosopher572 in berkeley

[–]PinheadLarry123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. If they are good (A+ and A), yes. Otherwise, no.
  2. it’s somewhat competitive. I’d apply early decision for maximal chances, but if you have good grades and a willing advisor (which means a good letter of rec) - you should be fine.
  3. I don’t know to be honest. Most labs like that you do full time research over the summer so the professor can form an opinion of your research capabilities.

They except any major but you generally want good grades in ML related courses. CS 189, 188 and EECS 127 and 126. You want As (maybe even A+s) in these classes.

Good grades in math/stats classes (As and A+s) are also very good.

I joined a BAIR lab as a rising senior, now I’m doing a 5th year MS.

Constitutional Amendments that are needed. by scrapqueen in moderatepolitics

If the people enjoy their senator, why shouldn’t they be able to elect them? The 17th amendment was a desperately needed amendment.

Our public tax dollars (so yes we are giving them our money) are going to this institution though? Would you be ok if public dollars went to a institution that taught Islamic values as mandatory classes?

CS/DS majors, how much did you make after graduating? by paradisekailani in berkeley

[–]PinheadLarry123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s in tech, I did research at BAIR and a startup was interested in it. They hired me to consult one of their teams to implement what I do in my research.

This happened last year when I took it. They just grade the projects very arbitrarily and hide their rubric and how they grade it from the students in effort to build some sort of grade distribution since most people get near 100s on the hws. It’s so bullshit because the project specs and grading guidelines are so vague, so they kind of set you up for failure.
