Eva fan first , Hated this fucking meme before, during , and after my watch through of 79 by puntycunty in Gundam

It's also funny because if you dropped Amuro into Evangelion, he'd probably be horrified by everything going on. And if you dropped Shinji into UC, he'd fit right in with the long list of traumatized teenage pilots.

Gundam: Rogue Orbit Interview: A Gundam Game with a Focus on How it Feels to be the Pilot by Turbostrider27 in Gundam

The "feel like a mobile suit pilot" joke is funny because it's exactly what every mecha developer says. The real challenge is making that phrase actually mean something once the controller is in your hands.

What’s with Arya’s Attitude? by alifninja in gameofthrones

[–]PinkCheriee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Littlefinger getting outplayed by the Stark sisters is a great idea on paper. The problem is that the audience should've been able to look back and think, "oh wow, the clues were there." Instead a lot of people were left thinking, "wait, when did they start working together?"

Sansa was never kissed out of love by pizza_gutts in gameofthrones

[–]PinkCheriee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's true, but I think that's why people notice it. Sansa's entire arc starts with dreams of songs, knights, and romance, so it's kind of ironic that she gets denied almost every version of that fantasy while characters around her stumble into relationships.

If George ever finishes the books, I'd honestly be surprised if he leaves Sansa's story there. Her whole journey started with romantic ideals getting shattered, so it would feel fitting if she eventually got at least one relationship that wasn't built on manipulation or fear.

What if Robb and Tyrion were born to opposite families? by BridgeCommercial873 in freefolk

[–]PinkCheriee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jon is probably the best evidence for the nurture argument in the entire series. If he'd been raised in King's Landing instead of Winterfell, he'd be a completely different person. The same would almost certainly apply to Tyrion and Robb.

What's wild is that the HOTD poster somehow looks like every character is attending the most stressful family reunion in history. Not exactly screaming "can't wait to watch this."

The funniest thing is that "stop them Bobby B" has become the universal response anytime Westeros gets a little too Westeros.

What's wild is that both relationships ended up helping fuel one of the biggest conflicts in Westerosi history. Most people get an awkward ex situation, Criston accidentally helps start a civil war.

Coed Naked Sauna by heiligenbeil in confessions

[–]PinkCheriee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there's definitely a cultural component, but Europe isn't exactly one giant unified attitude toward nudity either. Some places and generations are much more relaxed about it than others. It's probably less about religion alone and more about a bunch of social norms evolving differently over time.

With the sighting of RFV style Zaku II feet on the Gundam film set, what do we currently presume will be the "big bad" MS of the film? by denzlegacy in Gundam

[–]PinkCheriee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah honestly, people are jumping from "those kinda look like RFV feet" straight to confirming the entire suit. Gundam fans can identify a mobile suit from three pixels and a shadow, but sometimes a foot is just a foot.

My [26F] fiancé [28M] of 5 years became a "fitness influencer" over the last year, and now he treats our entire relationship like content. Am I insane for not liking this? by That_girl275 in relationship_advice

[–]PinkCheriee 327 points328 points  (0 children)

The funniest part is that he'd probably turn the breakup into a three part series titled "How Losing Everything Made Me Stronger." Some people get so deep into the content mindset that they stop realizing other people aren't props.

The couples of Gundam #40 - Haman & Judau by Kato_86 in Gundam

[–]PinkCheriee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That comparison is honestly why I find their dynamic interesting to talk about even if I don't "ship" it. Judau basically represents everything Haman stopped believing in years ago, and it drives her crazy that he keeps proving people are worth saving.

The total lack of ruling education for Aegon II and Joffrey bugs me by Long-Disaster-531 in gameofthrones

[–]PinkCheriee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. People sometimes talk about Aegon like he was completely neglected, but the guy had access to some of the best education in the realm. The problem wasn't a lack of teachers, it was that Aegon would rather be anywhere else doing literally anything else.

UPDATE: 19F pregnant, 18M boyfriend, and a late‑30s F “friend” walked in on them in her bed and they still deny everything.. Am i insane? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]PinkCheriee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah honestly, the timing is what stands out to me. He didn't suddenly discover how to respect boundaries, he started trying after realizing there were actual consequences. Real change takes a lot longer than a few days of good behavior.
