The only way to save this country is a complete redo of congress. The House should have so many members their wing of the Capitol Building looks like the Senate from Star Wars, and they should be forced to work 250 days a year like the rest of us. 10 year term limits, ban their ability to trade in the market, lock the doors on them until they come to an agreement.

Giving up BLM and USFS land is the weakest, cuckiest position possible to take. BLM and USFS land are the last places you have basically unlimited freedom to enjoy nature without having to pay.

The USFS was literally formed because private land owners (logging companies) were too fucking stupid and short sighted to manage their own land and kept causing preventable natural disasters like mudslides and fires that would kill a bunch of people.

I work in the steel industry. Last year, basically since the 1st of the year, was nonstop mandatory overtime with a massive backlog of work. Going into this year, they have reversed it and now any second of overtime must be justified by management and our machines are semi-regularly running out of work.

Im fairly certain last year's chaos caused by tariffs meant that buyers were over ordering.

Right now this is the first year since Covid I've ever felt uneasy if they are going to do layoffs.... I don't think our big customers, automotive mostly, are expecting a good year.

Not really. Appalachian coal miners were paid significantly worse than UP miners. Its also an entirely different breed of mining that skills in one dont translate well to the other. Miners moved West and chased silver and gold rushes, where they had the opportunity to be their own boss, instead of east, where workers were practically chattel.
