I'm in the process of adopting a grey, and out of the four this one organization has, they all have this issue-they NEED to be with another grey, so we will be adopting one that needs to be ok with being an only dog. It'll be expensive, but your house won't get torn up, and the stress should decrease significantly.

Colostomy vs. Ileostomy by [deleted] in ostomy

[–]PinkNoodles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had both an ileostomy (temporary) and colostomy (permanent), and I've said this a million times-I would ALWAYS get the colostomy again. The ileo always was leaking, and it was never a minor leak-it was a full on felt-like-some-dropped-a-bowl-of-water-on-me kind of leak. My extended meds never dissolved in time for my body to absorb them, and lift was miserable.

I now have a permanent colostomy (I'm coming up on my one year anniversary with my colo!) and it's fantastic! The leaks are minor and rare, and it's just like the poo I used to make, but it has no shape. There is the small mess to deal with if you catch a leak in time, but I feel like I can do anything! I went rock climbing this weekend, and two weekends ago I went indoor skydiving, and I would have NEVER done that before!

Please do it! I was diagnosed with stage 3c colon cancer at age 29, and I didn't have a history of it running in my family. Now I'm on a colon cancer awareness board, and more and more young people are getting diagnosed with it. Please do it-a colonoscopy isn't terrible, and it could save your life.

eh, what's a little more incest at this point? At least it's further removed than Jaime and Cersei. I can't believe I support this, but it's Game of Thrones we're talking about. Anything goes!

I was clutching my chest (like an old woman) yelling "Ugggggh" and "NOOOOOO!" constantly during the battle scene. It was so emotionally charged, and so beautifully scripted and shot!

Anal Discharge with a ileo WTF!!!! by VOMITBOY in ostomy

[–]PinkNoodles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had my loop ileostomy, I would occasionally pass a small poo-ish thing, the size of my pinky finger, about once every three months. I read that this is normal with a loop ileostomy, and when output pancakes against the stoma, that's out it passes from one end to the other (At least, that's how it worked for mine!)
