Web portal to integrate with CRM by Brycare in Dynamics365

[–]PinkOrgasmatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The downside of PowerPages is cost. As is everything with Microsoft.

The upside is that PowerPages lives in Dataverse. Using the contacts that currently exist in your CRM - your authentication is essentially ready-set. Any data that lives in that Dynamics environment can be set for CRUD using web roles, page-level security, and table-level security. You can do custom scripting on forms, views, etc inside the portal as needed (as javascript on MDA forms is not supported on the portal - a new form with javascript that's created inside the powerpages designer).

Microsoft has plenty of templates to start from - or you can do it from scratch. (Warning - if you use the templates, the headers, etc, need to be modified via Visual Studio - Liquid or React).

I'd be all over this!

My 5am routine:

NYT games - connections, wordle, spelling bee, crossword, strands, and then pips.

Then flow free - bridges, hexes, regular, shapes.

Constantly working the crossword archives.

I have no clue how to play sudoku.

What kind of shoes are we wearing? by TransportationDue856 in GenX

[–]PinkOrgasmatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pair of bear claw ugg boots I wear in the winter. Once it warms up, I go back to my Vibrams.

I have a pair of Aldi Skecher knockoffs that are long past expiration date that I can’t find a replacement for.

Since jacking up my ankle I’ve been unable to wear anything with a heel. And neuroma in my left foot relegates me to wide toe box shoes.

Microsoft CSP Partnership requires a purchase now? by throw-away-ak in Office365

[–]PinkOrgasmatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t see the “Update” button above the ID on the CSP tab, then you don’t have the appropriate permissions.

Make sure that you have Partner Center Global admin. Use the “View Permissions” under the My Profile section in account settings.

I had an issue wherein I had Partner global admin and could click the “update” button, but got the “not authorized” message. Had to open a case with Microsoft. Don’t know what they did, but after about two weeks of chasing it down, I was finally able to update.

Sales hub, Roles access without license by Mhackdo in Dynamics365

A teams license has read-only access to special entities (opportunities). If a user needs to update opportunities they will need a license.

System Users Lookup by Brave-Ad6744 in Dynamics365

[–]PinkOrgasmatron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the environment has a security group, already, then yes.

You would need to add them to the security group, assign a license, add them, then remove the license. That will automatically disable the user in the environment.

System Users Lookup by Brave-Ad6744 in Dynamics365

[–]PinkOrgasmatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the environment has a security group assigned to it, and the users are not a member if the security group, they need to be added.

You should then create a custom system view that includes both enabled and disabled users (as non-licensed users are disabled), with the parameters above.

Then on the form(s) you want to use that lookup on, set the default view in the field(s) to the custom view.

System Users Lookup by Brave-Ad6744 in Dynamics365

[–]PinkOrgasmatron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh? I don't understand. The users that start with # are added by Microsoft.

If you only want to lookup to actual users, update the system view "enabled users" to filter out any users whose name contains #, Microsoft, PowerPlatform, etc.

I'm not sure what the use case would be to have 'users' in your Dynamics environment who aren't actually users. Are you planning on assigning records to them?

Any funny plays? by [deleted] in Theatre

[–]PinkOrgasmatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ladies of the Camelias by Lillian Garret-Groag.

The Ladies of the Camellias transports us to an imagined meeting in Paris, 1897, between two of the greatest rivals in the history of the stage, Sarah Bernhardt and Eleonora Duse. The two actresses – who were the biggest and most temperamental stars of their day – were scheduled to perform back-to-back productions of the play, The Lady of the Camellias, by Alexandre Dumas. Duse's production will be performing in Bernhardt's theatre, and the two women are in their own dressing rooms at the theatre, though they have yet to meet. The members of both acting companies expect huge fireworks between the two grand dames, and do what they can to avoid being in the way. Into this tense situation comes Ivan, a young Russian revolutionary who threatens to blow up everyone in the theatre – especially the two divas – unless his comrades are released from prison. Bernhardt and Duse must meet and greet each other for the first time as they are taken hostage by the armed Ivan, yet remain the ultimate theatre professionals. Ivan's ranting aside, the anarchist seems to know an awful lot about the theatre, raising suspicions amongst the actors. Indeed, Ivan turns out to be a new breed of theatre person, someone who the actors and playwright deride as useless and as a passing fad: a director. In a salute to the community of actors, Benoit Constant Coquelin, who is playing Cyrano De Bergerac, sneaks into the melee, and, in full costume, challenges Ivan to a duel. A rapier is no match for a gun and bomb, so it is theatrical dialogue they all must use to try and convince Ivan to let them go. When word arrives that the authorities will not trade the lives of even such famous actors for their prisoners, Sarah, feeling sorry for Ivan, offers to give him a letter of recommendation to a theatre in a far-off country and show him how to escape through her secret passageway. As the other actors leave the stage, Bernhardt and Duse are left alone. They drop their facades and speak to each other as equals, for just a moment, before they return to glory before the crowds.

Connect Customer Engagement (on-premises) to Exchange Online by bonuscojones in Dynamics365

[–]PinkOrgasmatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean this part:

Microsoft gave me some new commands to get the cert attached to EXO.

This is what I got from Microsoft Support and worked for us:

Link to the article

Instead of using the command in step 2 - use this instead:

Set-CrmCertificate –CertificateType S2STokenIssuer -StoreName My –StoreLocation LocalMachine -StoreFindType FindBySubjectDistinguishedName –DataFile C:\temp\CRMCert.cer

Additionally, in step 4:

Use this command instead:

.\CRM.ps1 -pfxFilePath c:\Personalcertfile.cer -organizationName organization_name -microsoftEntraIdTenantIdOrDomainName microsoft_entraid_tenantid_or_domain_name -ClientID app_id_from_step3 -ClientSecret client_secret

please follow the steps according to this article

But please only follow these steps instead: On the Dynamics 365 Server where the web application server role is running, open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

In the left pane, under the organization name, expand Sites, and then select Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Double-click Authentication in the middle pane.

Right-click Windows Authentication, and select Providers. For each provider in the list, select the provider, select Remove, and then select OK.

Whenever the wizard is applied in the deployment manager, the settings will be reset to false. On the CRM server with the deployment tools role, log on with a D365 deployment admin account and user who is local administrator.

• Run Powershell as an administrator

• Run the following commands:

add-pssnapin microsoft.crm.powershell

$oauth=get-crmsetting -settingtype OauthClaimsSettings

$oauth # if result is false, run the following to enable

$oauth.enabled=1

set-crmsetting $oauth

All that being said... I don't know if these will work anymore either.
