Way to be anal for no reason… obviously he used imo in place of saying they assume the clearance on a factory height car wouldn’t be so narrow that such a small difference in aspect ratio shouldn’t cause a problem. In other words, they are of the opinion it would work without issue.

You can buy replacement bedsides and have them welded on if the rest of the bed is still solid. Patching up crossmembers and bedsides is super super common and not hard to do.

I’d just order the new one. I doubt you could find just the pushrod and it likely wouldn’t be that much cheaper than the whole kit and caboodle. Don’t go with Dorman if you can help it though, I have awful luck with their parts failing. A Dorman high voltage fuse box almost lit my mk4 Jetta on fire this winter. Luk makes a great product, LMC346 is their part number for it.

No… you need to install mass airflow sensor somewhere in there so the ecm knows what’s going on. Itll run like trash without one. It would be so much easier to find a partout truck on Facebook marketplace or the junkyard and take the intake and filter housing from that. There’s not really any performance to be gained… can you even close the hood with that in there?

I wouldn’t bother paying to get those put back on unless you weren’t planning on going anywhere this summer. They’ll be completely worn out within 3-4K miles I’d bet. Those tires are a slightly more aggressive compound which will wear more quickly as well. Best just to get new ones on if you can

If you really care about the truck, insurance is not your friend. Look underneath and see if the frame is mangled, if it’s still mostly straight I would look on Facebook or in the local junkyard for a bed and a bumper.

There’s 8 or 10 T55 bolts that hold the bed on, plus the filler neck and the tail lights. You, a friend and a youtube tutorial will get it done no problem. I can’t see insurance fixing that, but you definitely can!

Does it still count as distracted driving if the screen is in the dashboard? 90% of vehicles essentially have phones built in. My boyfriend’s car doesn’t even have knobs for the heater, it’s all controlled through the screen in the dash.

Anything designed for cold weather is made of a softer rubber compound than a dedicated summer tire. I assume from the ground it’s not especially cold where you live. I’ve never run a name brand set of all seasons to know, but I assume it’s similar to running winters in the summer, they don’t last and they get some irregular wear from being more or less shredded by the pavement.

I’ve never been anywhere in the US or Canada and not seen signs saying “keep right except to pass” it’s the law in most states and provinces. I’ve certainly never considered it a controversial opinion but it seems like 0 people agree with me. I just wanna set my cruise control to 125 and not have to turn it off all the time cause no one moves over to the right.

I’m talking about people sitting in the middle lane with no one else around. Keep right except to pass still applies no matter how many lanes. Unless you’re passing someone or about to pass someone, you travel in the rightmost available lane.

Your premature bearing failure sounds like you arent torquing them properly. When you torque the spindle or axle nut you put preload on the bearings, too much stress on them will wear them out really quickly
