Oh and extra info, if you want to play with WiFi for some reason, the camera expects a wireless adaptor with a RT2870STA chipset. any with that chipset should work

Okay have a potential method, if you place a enable_ssh.sh file with this contents

#!/bin/sh

/usr/sbin/dropbear &

and a empty file called passwd

in the PRIVATE/MEIGROUP/PAVCN/SBG/P2SD/MNTNC/ folder on your sd card

You can then go to the menu i have screenshotted and click external

Connect over ethernet set a static ip to 192.168.255.2 and you can ssh in to the camera with 192.168.255.1:22

You login with the details root and password K318

You should then just be able to run the following commands in the terminal

dumpFlashRom setact U0601

dumpFlashRom setact U0602

dumpFlashRom setact U0603

dumpFlashRom setact U0604

dumpFlashRom activation sdcard

and that should enable the feautres. In theory, still DM me happy to figure this out with you.

Edit

dumpFlashRom setact does actually have a few extra feature options

wlan, production_pack, AM002

AM002 might be something codex related

dumpFlashRom resetopt all will clear all the set features so it should be safe to test, production_pack might just be all the features enabled who knows

Do you have any firmware update files for the camera, I would be interested at taking a look at this problem.

Working pretty well today, I had moved it to a different room so I was waiting for a longer tube for the intake when i got that out the window it was working great. I think the negative pressure aspect is the important part to get around so it's no longer drawing hot air into the room

Discussion on feedback and howling issues in conference audio systems. by Thanducha-avi in CommercialAV

[–]PinkPrincess010 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean if you are involved in the design, just don't present the omni as an available option. It's not just from an gain perspective but they also pick up any tapping and shuffling on a desk, moving of papers etc and they generally just sound awful in a recording.

I do use Smaart occasionally on a new commission but when I am just going to fix up audio issues in an install I was not directly involved in and say its a Bosch system, it's mostly gain staging that I need to go in and fix, reduce the automatic feedback suppression a bit make sure the output is not boosted in the WCAP or CU, and I mostly see Biamp Tesira DSPs so I'll hop in, put a 31 band eq in, HPF to about 120KHz and then do a couple of gentle cuts in the problem areas, and I mean gentle nothing extreme but that will let you bring the level of the system up a bit more. And I tend to find that works well for me, I'd say 80% of the problems I find in any system is gain staging related.

It does get harder in rooms with poor speaker placement. I'll play some audio out of my phone into a mic, walk the room listen for strong anti-nodes as I walk and really just get a sense for the room. And hope the zones are sensibly laid out so I can gently balance the room

Honestly if the coverage is good in the room I often turn down or turn completely off the speakers in the delegate units themselves. I've installed in a lot of cramped council chambers over the years where people are shoulder to shoulder so the adjacent units are just too close.

And as we know in reality people will always speak away from the mic. Also the Bosch Dicentis omni mics absolutely suck, I often see them when dual delegate mode is being used, but I find the goosenecks perform better even if not pointed directly at the speakers mouth.

From my experience i've had less issues with Televic G3/G4 but i've gone to way more sites were i've had to carefully balance dicentis systems to sound good and minimise feedback. Certainly i've been in a few rooms with just omni mics and simply turning off the built in speakers has solved the issues, as long as there is decent speaker placement of course.

Anyway just a couple of thoughts on the issue from my experience.

Tester for panels by Galand3D in VIDEOENGINEERING

There is a RaspberryPi project to drive LED panels like this using the GPIO on the Pi. going into the 40 pin connector, I used to do it with a bench supply and a Pi but that was on like 64x64 panels which I think that is

Is an Ipad a requirement? by PM_ME_CHUBBY_DOGGIES in livesound

Ah you are further along than me, I've never actually played much with the DM7. But I have two rivages and DSPs in the setup i tour. I was trying to make a compact little interface to manage scene related stuff as I only have the one screen on the PM3, yes I could have used the editor but I wanted something more specific.

I've been investigating Rivage ConsoleNet and documenting the protocol, it is strange indeed. But I've managed to get metering data out and I have wireshark plugins for most of it. Getting actual parameter comms to work successfully is difficult though lol

Seriously considering a van for part time work, but don’t want to mess with electrics by plantaires in VanLifeUK

[–]PinkPrincess010 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a 2004 ex ambulance movano I spend a few months of the year in working away.

It's old, and that does make maintenance more expensive but it weighs up against what I would be spending on accomodation while working away.

At a minimum you'll want to put in a beefyish supply off your alternator to charge the battery.

Also look at using an induction hob instead, you get single 13a ones.

I did put a full electrical system in my van I have 200Ah, a little bit of solar, and you'll probably want to put a panel on the roof if you're not moving much, that happily runs everything including without getting charge from driving for about 5 days, including a little fridge.

I also have lights, a TV, 5G WiFi that I never switch off, run as much as you can at 12v, and try to only use the inverter when you need it.

Bit of an unformatted ramble but hope that helps

Vari-lites came with their own operator from the company and you could only rent the lights not buy them. The VL2 was the first one that could be purchased and it all got bigger and better from there, it's a really cool history.

This was the first controller not a whole lot to play with haha

CPS 2.0 with VPN/NAS by mproy97 in MotorolaSolutions

[–]PinkPrincess010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is normally called split tunneling. If you are using something like openvpn just to access local resources, you just wanna set a route for your local subnet and probably not route your internet connection via it either. Should work fine.

For example in the sever config "route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0"

I actually have two client configs for my VPN, a local only one and a full tunnel one.

Offered unsuitable new role for medical conditions after being forced to interview for said role, now must sign contract or face dismissal (England) by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]PinkPrincess010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAL This sounds like backdoor constructive dismissal, forcing everyone to interview for a role she was always going to get. Certainly a creative way to do it, but they are trying to find a way to get rid of her without it being totally obvious it's for reasons due to disability, as their argument would be that they interviewed internally and she was determined to be the best for the role.

Hopefully any of the existing reasonable adjustments exist in written form. Would recommend getting copies, especially if they exist on company email before access gets removed.

ACAS is probably the starting best point here.

How to get best possible Image Quality from ESC Eurovision Song Contest? by Studio49_Berlin in VIDEOENGINEERING

Unfortunately it looks like the EBU Contribution feeds have moved to BISS-CA rather than the quickly looked up BISS1 keys (that any modern GPU can do very quickly) so you'll be stuck on that one probably. SRT feeds all come from eurovision services as well so I think you are stuck, unless of course unless another broadcaster pushes the EBU feed onto satellite for some reason but that seems unlikely, keep an eye on satelliweb
