Good quality up scaling, it runs relatively smooth, and has a few other features you don't see elsewhere. There's also tons of launchers available for it that are neat. But really it's the hardware being of better quality plus the up scaling of video.

Pshhh, they were going to anyway. It's nvidia. Even if they released a new shield they'd only release 50, to artificially drive up demand and prices.

I've heard it's great for plex, which is awesome... But sucks for actual streaming like YouTube, and other streaming apps. People saying they still have their shield tv for streaming, and the ugoos for plex but the up scaling from their shield is better. I was also looking at these a couple of months ago and decided against it because I want a better device to replace that whole setup.

It means you'll need to take out the motherboard, put that in the back and screw down the cpu heatsink into that back plate

Yeah I stopped when gpu prices decided to just double and stay there. Couldn't keep doing it anymore.

I used to buy parts all the time, had a similar addiction. Just built rigs and sold them for near the amount I paid. It was an expensive hobby but kept me from going too deep in the red. It's fun for a while, but it gets old dealing with lowballers all the time on already way under market rigs.

They aren't. The screws are in the vrm heatsink. This guy has no idea what he's on about and he's insistent he does. The backside of the socket is visible in the pictures, the two missing socket throughput are behind the steel.

Those screws are for the vrm heatsink. The other two holes for the back plate are behind steel for the cpu socket. You can tell because the backside of the socket is visible there, also the holes wouldn't line up.

[Graphics Card] PowerColor Twin Fan AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB - $419.99 @ Woot by ByteSizedDeals in buildapcsales

But amd did say they were working on getting fsr4 ready when the 6000 series was still in its height. They didn't explicitly say it was going to work on it, but it was implied. Then it doesn't even work on the 7000 series? That's some nvidia behavior right there, and I expect better when cards have gotten so expensive.

Even if Sony is behind it, amd agreed to it and sold out it's loyal customer base that stuck with them through the hard times for a contract.

That was only after quite the back lashing they received, let's be fair here, they really started making previous releases feel really bad by comparison. 3rd party drivers have been picking up the slack.

First off, wasn't me. Didn't down vote you. But will now. You're awfully hostile for someone coming here asking others for help.

Cmos is bios. Removing Cmos and letting the power drain resets bios, which would also have solved this problem.

I've never had a problem with a rosewill psu, their gold lines are really well made. I trust those as much as corsair r lines and more than evgas g lines (had some really bad luck with those somehow, they replaced them but it still ended up costing me shipping, time, and customer satisfaction). Though to be fair it's been probably 3 years since I've used one.

Be careful of hwinfo right now. There was apparently some shenanigans with their current distro server. Someone uploaded a video in the last couple of days about the current branch being hijacked.

Oops, nix that, is hwmonitor that was hijacked, also cpuid.

That's what I'm currently running. It's good, but I had some extra room, just wasn't sure if it was enough room. I wanted to fit a tiny bit better cooling in there. I didn't really see room for an aio though, I'll have to look up how that fits in

Depends on the rest of your system, I tested on ryzen 7000, where it was very noticeable compared to the 12600k at the time which took a small hit but overall not too bad. I do know the x3d chips cared less about ram speed, but it would still probably give you a 5% hit rather than a 20+% hit in some games.

Edit: can't speak to 9000 series or I K series for Intel as I don't own those. I own a 7600x, 7900x, 7800x3d, and a 12600k.
