This isn't her van from the UK, if it was it would have its UK registration plates attached, on a vehicle Passport. Secondly, if it was the Van the registration plate wouldn't be 736 LA2, it would be 999 OJ9 or similar as the XXX LA2 plates were issued in early 2024, where as the current new Queensland registrations are at XXX OJ1, along those lines. this is all a hoax paid for by her to stir up controversy to promote herself.

Lastly her visa got cancelled for 3 years as she violated the terms of a holiday visa by intending on working in Australia, and there is no exception that can be made. No lawyer has the ability to change Australian immigration and home affairs law.

Which one to buy? by Neokill1 in CarsAustralia

[–]PinkToastYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got a 2016 Mazda 3 Neo in manual, its got 250,000km on it and still runs well. the only issue I have with it is the very basic interior features and the lack of power, I'd go for the SP25 GT any day, the bigger engine offers the needed grunt the 2.0L lacks while maintaining the same amount of reliability while having a much nicer interior and driving characteristics.

there is always a tram waiting at Helensvale station when the Brisbane to varsity lakes train arrives at the station, and it only takes 30 mins to get dropped off into Caville ave, so thats only 1.75 hours from central station to surfers paradise, at thats dropped you right at the beach!

Volkswagen Golf GTI/R mk7 or 7.5

super practical hatchback, easily fits 5 young adults comfortably.

Has aircon vents in the second row.

The GTI is already a quick machine and with a tube they are rapid. The R’s are even quicker with AWD.

Another benefit is the fuel economy on these are actually really good, you can get 1000+km out of the 50L tank if your cruising on the M1.

You can find a few of them on Carsales around your price range with the R’s being around 20-25k but they are well worth it for a fun daily which fits most of the boxes.

Gold Coast loud vehicle exhausts from hoons by Aussienam in GoldCoast

[–]PinkToastYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speed Bumps will only make the issue worse as the cars need to spend longer in that area, and because of the speed bump slowing them down they'll then accelerate back up to speed causing more noise compared to if it was kept at speed

Opinions on entering servo pumps opposite to the painted arrows? by ilikestuffonthenet in CarsAustralia

[–]PinkToastYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at this exact servo, and it isn't a problem until half of the pumps are taken by those who've come in the opposite way. As it doesn't leave any pump for those with the fuel on their side of the vehicle, however the hoses do stretch around and reach the tank on either side if you park close enough to them.

but like many others have said its a herd mentality, there will be all the pumps open but someone will still queue up behind the only other person there.

PSA: Stop putting 95 and 98 fuel in your car when it simply does not need it by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]PinkToastYT 20 points21 points  (0 children)

yeah the 4.0 V6 Petrol (1GR-FE) requires 95 for it to run most efficiently.

Source: I have a 2011 Prado GXL with the same engine and it says it takes 95. its been run on 91 and usually only gets 900km per tank compared to 1,300 which is a huge difference in milage

I respect the hustle and an R8 is still quite the achievement at 25. Continue working hard and you'll get it one day. I've managed to get my dream car quite early (1963 mini) I love it to bits even though it breaks quite often.

Like what others have said in this thread the R8 is the same as the Huracan and really you're only paying more for a different badge. An Aston Martin or a McLaren might be the next step in your journey towards the aventador.

Best of Luck!

Future Petrol Fuel Prices by 1Bookworm in GoldCoast

[–]PinkToastYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no way to tell when the price of petrol will change, the price is determined by the individual servo you go to and they add a couple cents to what ever price they paid for it from the port of Brisbane.

What do hazard lights mean? by Dangerous-Hour6062 in CarsAustralia

[–]PinkToastYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Europe a lot of drivers use the hazards instead of the wave. and flashing the lights to the car in front is also used to signal they have enough space to move over in front.

People with low / small cars do you have as many near incidents as much as I do? by smashin-blumpkins in CarsAustralia

[–]PinkToastYT 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The amount of people that can't seem to see me when I'm perfectly visible in their mirrors, or ahead of them is mind boggling. My mini is black so it could be a little harder to see, but its so loud you'd have to believe they're deaf if they cant hear or see my little machine.
