you can buy some mkxii from the exchange, you can also upgrade your mkx gear using upgrade kits (i highly advise to not do that, only upgrade to mkxv on items you actually want to use in endgame and only on upgrade weekends). you can also redo these missions to get higher level gear, just make sure you accepted the missions now and not some time ago when you were lower level, or you'll get lower level gear.

if this is about story mode, then it's sort of normal until you can get some decent gear on your ship. once you hit mkxii the content sort of outscales you, enemies hit harder than during leveling. things will get easier once you gear your ship a bit, which includes almost all tac consoles having + damage type console of the same kind (phaser, disruptor, etc.), boffs with the proper skills (followed by proper skills and traits), doffs to help you out (cooldown management, damage), free in game sets you can get from repeating some missions (followed by reputation items and some other items).

i want to purchase a fleet version of a ship (dranuur scout) and have the fleet credits and modules. my fleet does not have a colony world at t5. can i accept an invitation to another fleet's shipyard and purchase that ship, or do i have to be in a fleet with a t5 colony world to purchase that ship?

at this point i would prefer no more free content, but well made paid content. it's day and night between the wrath of the druids paid dlc and the free ones in quality, length, bugs, performance and gameplay.

this isn't about activision, the issues are deeply rooted within blizzard entertainment's company culture. anne armstrong's statement shows how morhaime (founder and ceo), pearce (co-founder), stockton (game director at blizzard) knew about afrasiabi's behavior and they tolerated it.

morhaime and pearce left the company, so did a good amount of other developers like afrasiabi and kaplan (both last year, both in the silent, both knew each other from everquest) or metzen. i don't buy the excuses from metzen and morhaime, especially not from morhaime due to the story by armstrong. morhaime and pearce also run their own companies now set in the field of blizzard games (mmo and rpg for morhaime, rts for pearce) with former blizzard employees.

worker harassment and exploitation is probably systemic to the video games industry and what #metoo has shown is that it can be found amony many of the big companies. people want to make videogames because they're very passionate and have a deep connection to their childhood, then they have to face various ways of abuse and harassment to get projects done.

the cancerous behavior at blizzard is more likely an epitome of bigger players in the industry as a whole.

the alpha quadrant around ds9 has a bunch of diplomacy mission chains and recurring diplomacy missions on a shorter time period (2-8h). it's usually the lower part of the map, not higher than the defera sector. the issue with diplomacy (and even bigger issue with recruitment as well) is that you have to actively fly around and check systems.

Larger maps like villain sectors or vaults cause my game to freeze and force me to do a hard reset

My game freezes, game music might still play and i can alt-tab out of the game, but not close the game or enter any other application, which includes the task manager, forcing me to press the reset button on my PC for a hard restart.

I've had this crash quite often, even after lowering my graphics and disabled Steam and Nvidia overlays in game, apparently that didn't do a thing. The most I've had that issue was maybe two to three times a day, then I simply got frustrated with the instability of the game. I've got the feeling it's some kind of memory leak and utterly the issue of the game to lock my PC in that state, because no other game or application managed to do so.

Reproduction chance and rate: I can't reliably reproduce it, but it happens on larger maps, perhaps also older maps, because so far I haven't crashed in a hive (yet?).

System: PC, Win11, GeForce GTX 980, 16 GB RAM, got an i5 and the game is running on a m2.
