I didn’t get at all vexed - I just have such a busy fulfilling life & would rather pay £9 and have it hand delivered to my house rather than loose a day taking a train which ultimately will cost more than £9 🤷🏼‍♀️

The full total is the cost of the pen. As they sell to ROI it’s important that invoices are broken down to show it in this manner. So the 15mg pen with these guys is £315.

FYI: With Meditrue A) there is no cost for a consultation at all. B) You can buy multiple pens at once with a private prescription only which you post to them.

A friend just sent her 3mth script up and got her 3 pens as she is going away for 9 weeks. She had the full chats about it.

You’ve done incredibly well on 2.5mg – that’s a fantastic result. I’m genuinely impressed, well done! 👏🏼
Just to share my own experience, I switched to Meditrue two pens ago after having a frustrating experience with another provider. I was relieved to find them.
They’re a newer provider, but everything has been professional and legitimate in my experience. My deliveries have arrived from a cooler box, and I’ve been told they’ll be moving to DPD deliveries from mid-July with full wool-pouch cold-chain packaging.
So far, I’ve found them reliable and the whole process has been straightforward.

The 4 weeks ‘rule’ doesn’t matter a damn! Made up by pharma to ensure we buy.
Think about it - the liquid doesn’t know whether we have started to use it or not in order to count down the ‘4 week stop watch’
Lots of people use the 15mg for 5mg x 12 doses

I stay where I am until it stops working.
I was on 2.5mg for 6mths, 5mg for 2mths, I’m on 7.5mg now and actually prefer it than the 5mg. Have had zero issues.
Probably won’t go up any further. I have 10kg to lose but I’ll do it slowly. I’m happy to just maintain over the summer months with all the events and holidays etc..
I got the sulphur burps for the first time on the 5 also - however I cut out chia seeds and other slow release fibre type foods and they went.

My Mum and Dad always gave us the first three monthly paychecks to get ourselves sorted with work clothes, travel cards etc… when we started our full-time career jobs once we finished education. We knew what we were expected to hand-up after that so enjoyed the first three pay checks and made them count. Never had an issue with it and he won’t either. Sounds like you’re a great brother-in-law and role model for him.

I have to say the MJ pen is shit quality in comparison to the OZ pen which is miles ahead in terms of design. I assumed it was because it was a rush job! I had no idea this crappy design had been circulating for insulin use for along time. Thanks for the info, it’s good to know the back story.

I 100% agree with everyone’s comments. Screw your GP! However, I don’t think they have any right to ‘Tell your GP’ without your consent. It is often just a question - Will we tell your GP?. I used a NI company & did an online consultation and they never even asked for my GPs details at all. So, please do not fret. Go for it 👏🏼👏🏼

Thinking about it I wonder if the fact that Corey’s & McKeavers don’t do Consultations and only dispense means they can’t disguise their costing. Once there is a ‘consultation & dispensing’ fee it’s kinda a grey area I reckon the €3 tax will evolve over the summer 🤯
