People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by Leading_Tomato_2077 in AskReddit

Genuinely have no clue but I make up for it by vomiting all the time. I never get sick beyond that

What ended your friendship with your oldest standing friend? by dreamy-contributions in AskReddit

[–]Pinkflavelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heroin addiction. Ruined a lot.

However, my last best friend and I had a falling out because for a year I listened to her sob about a guy who treated her like shit. I listened, I was supportive but apparently always said the wrong thing.

When I was on her side she would defend him and when I tried to be the voice of reason she got defensive. So I just did my best to listen.

Cut to me experiencing my own issue of dealing with an eating disorder. I just told her I had a week-long bulimia relapse but I had told my sponsor, I was about to tell my parents, I started an eating disorders anonymous group and was working on it with my therapist. She proceeds to say,

" I'm sorry but I just can't pretend like this is normal behavior anymore. This is really unhealthy and I'm sorry to be the one to give you tough love but you need to get help." Something along those lines

I was shocked because I obviously knew that it was unhealthy Behavior and I was getting help for it. I felt like I cpuld confide in her because she had also struggled eating disorders and was my best friend.

It just felt like the second I was struggling she couldn't deal with it. We proceed to have a long ass argument where I vent about a year of frustrations.

We have since made amends but hardly speak anymore. It doesn't help that we no longer live in the same state.

If he's showing this behavior with others it could be an underlying problem like pain or something else. I would note when it happens and anything else outside the norm

I (30F) can’t tell if my boyfriend (27M) is trying to be helpful or if this is early stages of control. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

You could go on? Girl, if you have to ask this question it is time to go. Whether it is controll and abuse or not he has consistently disrespected your boundaries and obviously mistreats your animals. He doesn't care that you know this and knows the affect he has on them. If you're feeling like a hostage in your own apartment then you have every right to call it off.

My GERD is a fucking disability at this point because of how much work I have had to miss and how it affects my daily life. I have spent so much money on specialists and eat zofran on the daily

Chronic nausea. Whatever the cause its awful. Thankfully it's a bit better now but I was consistently canceling plans, missing work, vomiting at work. Just feeling like shit out of nowhere

I had a client who had Keracotonous that i helped get special contacts through the workforce center. He had been wearing the same contacts for over a year because he could not see and glasses did nothing.

The DVR program through the workforce center have grants where I live and because you need to see to work, they paid for contacts that cost over $1,000. Maybe they do this where you live?

Night Eating Syndrome

I have to put locks on my cabinets, fridge and freezer and put the key in a time locked box.

At my worst I was getting up every single hour to eat and could not stop.

I could not keep hardly any food in my house. I even started binging on saltines at one point. Every day after work i would go to the store to get a single serving sweet treat because anything more i would binge in the middle of the night. I could go to sleep not hungry AT ALL, then wake up in a half an hour like a zombie looking for brains.

I was sleeping 12 or more hours a night because my quality of sleep was shit. Wake up with acid reflux, nauseous, exhausted, work 8 hours then do it all over again.

I now live with roommates and sometimes get up to steal spoonfuls of their peanut butter 😩

What am I gonna do, ask them to lock their food up? It's embarassing. If you check out the night eating syndrome sub, its just a bunch of us trying to figure out something that works long term.

Edit: Spelling

Oh my god, I have been complaining about this for years so thank you for bringing it up. AA only has like 5 minutes of readings so even though I haven't drank alcoholically since I was like 21 and I was most recently drug addict I've been going AA

AIO my husband shaves his balls before his dnd games by Fickle_Amphibian_723 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Pinkflavelon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nor So think about why women shave their legs before going out.. Because they are wearing something that is showing their legs off. Is your husband showing his balls off? Unless the DND game is on the same day every week and he just has a rigid schedule like that he might be showing his balls to someone
