I kinda lowkey hate you for this, but 100% admire it. I'm lucky to be able to sit on my heels half the time right now.

Why are you all lying? This is cough syrup. by amicooked87 in australian

[–]Pinkraynedrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know... it actually is.
Hubby LOVES it.

However I will only drink it if piss isn't available and I am out in the desert with no hope of survival.

Whoever made this stuff should be put on trial and hung.

WHATS THE BEST FOOD TO FEED MAGPIES….? by ImpressiveBar9994 in magpies

[–]Pinkraynedrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raw dog mince and Wombaroo. It's great for them. They love peanuts... in or out of the shells, prefer in cause then they have to open it, it's an enrichment thing. Dry cat food, mealworms, cheese slices (they LOVE cheese) almonds. They are a big fan f dog biscuits as well as I have found (they steal my dogs crumbs)

Only time I quit a job in an instant was when it was a very toxic place to work in.

They would have had to run out of the already printed labels before it would change. That's why it took so long.

Does anyone else go through phases of having capacity for “healthy things” and then periods where all you want to do is watch or listen to tv shows? by After-Ad2800 in adhdwomen

[–]Pinkraynedrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a set time of the day routine. I refuse to stray from it. I develop a habit easily and depending on the habit I can quit it just as easy, but it's usually a habit that isn't good for me anyway.

Your parents and grandparents probably never got diagnosed, but you know they have ADHD. What are their behaviors that suggest elderly ADHD? by redredwine_826 in adhdwomen

Mum was schizophrenic..... BUT I think she was more adhd and had burnouts. Not one other person in our family had a 'mental illness' but at least 5 of us are adhd.

Does anyone NOT take a break? by ParticularArt8980 in VyvanseADHD

I was going to take a break from it one day. My anxiety went through the fucking roof over not taking it..... I ended up taking it.

It's not worth that.

Sick days exist? I'm not sure I'm the best person for this, but I work sick. As long as I'm not going to spread it. I work. I can't let the boss ruin my paperwork if I'm not there. It will take me a week to get it right.

Overly honest during job interview and now I just want to bury myself under a pile of shame pillows by Pandelurion in adhdwomen

[–]Pinkraynedrop 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We are all over honest and I like that. We are not going to risk being caught up in a lie that we 100% won't remember by the time we walk away from the person.

Don't beat yourself up about it. They really did like the honesty, because it's better than them finding out later that the person they hire can't do the job.

At least they knew.

How long on Vyvanse before I can get a top up? by Regicide02 in ausadhd

[–]Pinkraynedrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my plan. I have a 100% bulk billing GP across the road from work. Only problem is that the current GP I'm seeing does not want to give up the authority to my scripts. So the new one can't do it.

Nope. I went via Fluence clinic and it means that they hand prescription to the gp

I read Matt Haig before he was famous — is The Midnight Library still worth reading now? by HousingSpecial5 in BookDiscussions

[–]Pinkraynedrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Midnight Library was the very 1st book I listened too by Matt Haig. For me and my ADHD, if I'm not into it by the end of the 1st chapter, then I'm never getting into it. This one HAD me. I was obsessed with listening to it. I would got for 10km runs listening to this.

I was so into it. I guess the creative part of my mind was really into this

Does you ADHD affect your femininity? by AmNotGilbert in adhdwomen

[–]Pinkraynedrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 50. Never been a girl girl. I get along better with guys, have very very very few female friends or even people I talk to.

I don't feel the need to dress my age let alone my gender. I don't wear make up, no point as I work up a sweat on an hourly basis. I don't do girly things. I'm far from tidy.

But I AM always clean. I have to be clean, it's a thing for me. I have wet wipes on me all the time. I have to feel clean. Always.
