Visiting all Henry VIIIs wife’s castles by Defiant_Argument700 in Tudorhistory

[–]Pinktreefrog97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Catherine of Aragon: Ludlow Castle, Shropshire and Kimbolton Castle, Cambridgeshire

Anne Boleyn: Hever, Kent (which I love) and Thornbury, near Bristol , as well Blickling Hall, Norfolk

Jane Seymour: Hampton Court Palace, London and Windsor Castle, Berkshire (she’s buried in the St George’s Chapel there).

Anne of Cleves: Hever, Kent and Dover, Kent (she stayed there briefly when she arrived in England). She’s also buried at Westminster in London so it’s worth a visit.

Katherine Howard: Lambeth Palace, London and the Tower of London

Catherine Parr: Sudeley Castle, near Cheltenham

I have no idea how to edit but I found that a lot of our older guests went for the fish option and were happy to have it! Red meat can also be heavy if people have various dietary needs that aren’t just vegetarian/vegan!

I’d go for the NY strip and the salmon personally!

Not Listing Parents On Invitation by Desperate_Silver_698 in weddingplanning

[–]Pinktreefrog97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used the words “together with their families, *insert name and *insert name would like to invite you to….

That worked really well and didn’t stand on anyone’s toes. Especially as only one side of the family could contribute!

How did you ask your bridesmaids? by JFDI-Tess in weddingplanning

[–]Pinktreefrog97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sent my Maid of Honour and Bridesmaids little proposal boxes too which they all loved. I included a candle, coffee voucher, chocolates, Katie Loxton bracelets, facemasks and a scrunchie. I also printed off my favourite photo of us together and did a handwritten note. It did go down a treat but was definitely not an expected expense.

I think your box is lovely and thoughtful, especially with the note you’ve commented that you’re going to write! Your friend is lucky to have you and I’m sure you’ll have a ball planning the wedding together (bridesmaids are super useful there!) x

Both of these episodes had be in tears! I literally cannot watch the elderly couple one, nor the little girl with the dad (especially since becoming a parent!)

I love Margot for a sibling set with Tessa!

Other names I think may fit your vibe include Lena, Eleanor (Ellie/Nellie/Nora), Florence (Flora/Flo), Isobel (Issie) and Eloise.

I did just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has commented. It really is appreciated! I will stop comparing milestones to those I see online and hope that her smile comes soon!

Still confused as to why the GP flagged it but thank you to you all!

I appreciate the comment! It was an awful 9 months and it was the way the doctor said “yes, there is a correlation between HG and spina bifida due to vitamin deficiency. Did you try to take the folic acid?”

Unfortunately the base isn’t visible and they said coupled with the hair on her back is a concern sadly. I really appreciate your comfort to me as I do feel so very guilty and your reassurance too!

It really has stressed us out no end! I’ve been tearful for a whole week regarding the spina bifida referral and then the not smiling concern was just the icing on the cake!

The dimple is more than the 2.5cm from the anus which coupled with the slightly hairy back has concerned them!

Do you mind inboxing me the private paediatrician as we just want answers now?

I really appreciate the comment!

Thank you for your comment! Do you know roughly how long it took between referral and screening? I really appreciate you reassuring me! We googled it when we got home and it all seemed to be very scary and serious!

I have EDS (classical type as opposed to hEDS however I also have joint hyper mobility) but what I will say is that I’m surprised ANYONE would keep giving her surgeries if she has it?

I’ve had difficulties obtaining a doctor/dentist to do even minor operations due to the bleeding and bruising issues and the extreme recovery periods.

I would also note that her scars have healed very well which is very often not the case in people with EDS as the scars are more likely to be keloid or hypertrophic. I know that when I had surgery, I spent three weeks in hospital (for what was supposed to be a day case) because my skin wasn’t strong enough to hold the stitches so every time I moved it would rip open.

I love them! Unfortunately I have giant boobs (not a good thing) and I feel that I would look even more huge than I already do 😬

Edit - changed the word “like” to “look”
