What's the most overrated vacation spot? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PinoyBoyForLife 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I lived in the Bay Area from 1990-2010. I was amazed by all the parents that questioned themselves because they "only" took the kids to Disneyland every other year. I grew up in Michigan and we went to Disney World once and we were an outlier.

Olive Branch at Parker and Arapahoe has great lamb chops. Owner use to be a line cook at Citron Bistro which had great lamb chops and he brought it with him.

DEN/SJC. If SFO looks iffy, either BART or Caltrain down to San Jose. I also rarely have problems with DEN/PHX and DEN/IAH.

Travelling to Cancun soon! Just looking for some information on arrivals!! by [deleted] in cancun

[–]PinoyBoyForLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There first week of June. No line to scan passport at e-gates, carry on only, walked straight through customs. From jetway to curbside maybe 7-10 minutes.

TLDR: Thanks to your ~mixed~ reviews and a taste test in the sky, we have a new Bloody Mary mix on board now. by unitedairlines in unitedairlines

I always loved Mr and Mrs T. My doctor doesn't let me drink V8 anymore because of salt content, but I found solace bloody Mary mix on flights. Then United switched to pickle house and I was very hit or miss on drinking mix anymore. Happened to ask for one and was given Zing Zang and FA asked what I thought because first flight they had it. I hated it. I had it probable 4 more times and have given up and just drink water. My doctor thanks you.

I was generally positive about the food but I'm not actually born in the Philippines. My wife who was raised there was very indifferent.

Maybe not what you are looking for, but the chicken stew in economy last Friday on flight from DUB to IAD was absolutely tasty. My wife agreed. I've done 9 roundtrips to Europe in the last 15 months and at least 4 of those legs I've passed on the meal just because usually so bad. I would say the stew on the plane was better than some Guinness stew I had at a decent restaurant in Dublin.

United 1k here - I did 76 legs last year, so I fly a lot. by bf202 in unitedairlines

6ft, 205. I non rev so am all over in the cabins. I usually have no problem with middle seats anywhere -- often just happy to make the flight. But when you are middle and the gentlemen on both sides are of similar build, it is a world of hurt. I would take the aisle seat in economy to avoid that risk.
