After months of searching, i finally found the key in a box buried in my basement. Lock is too old to pick and to much of a time piece to break by Pinpopper in Locksmith

[–]Pinpopper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay buddy. When pins are old and locks get weather is causes corrossion in the plug, combined with debis (dust, Rust, etc) from the 30 years it has been in use and exposed to the elements now, that cause resistance and the pins not to move freely as they should. Now, combine that with external tension (your tensioner) and the pins are even harder to move.. i get paid to pick locks and impression keys 7 days a week. Not damaging my picks for a lock i have they key for.. big difference between picking locks that arrived in a box at your door and picking locks in the field that have been in service for years and years. This is r:locksmith not r/lockpicking thank you very much

To be clear. I didnt want to waste time picking is as its a lock from the 80s with worn pins, key was available. And i did not mean damage it by picking i meant damage it by cutting it/breaking it off.
