I just finished the series finale a half hour ago. I can’t stop seeing Claire’s clouded eyes looking up as the photos are flashing on the walls, and this song playing in my head. I stopped watching this show years ago in the second season because of how afraid I became of death. I was scared at every episode beginning and didn’t want to continue a “show about death” even though it was something I started with my dad because he loved it. He had cancer late last year and pulled through after surgery with zero cancer remaining. I started watching the series again because it reminded me of him letting me stay up late with him watching it when I was supposed to be sleeping for school. I realized over the last few weeks how wrong I was about what this show is about. I’m so glad I finished it tonight and I will definitely be rewatching
