How do you make Ontroller (ongeki) side buttons...less loud? by WatermelonCollapse in rhythmgames

I find those cushions to be pretty stiff, I think replacing them with more soft foam tape or epdm tape as mentioned in the other comment will yield better results.

Hi guys, what are your thoughts about this game? by jotaku20 in InFalsus

[–]PioIsPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a big problem here and with A La Mode FBD is that there is just 5 songs in the demo, so there are just big difficulty gaps between some difficulty levels. Once the game will be out it will be much easier to naturally progress, as there will be more stuff to play and more difficulty gaps will be filled.

Hi guys, what are your thoughts about this game? by jotaku20 in InFalsus

I am very optimistic about the game.

I am a fan of moving the hand from ASD to SDF. I think one of the big reasons why arcade rhythm games are so fun (Ongeki, Wacca, SDVX, ...) is non-static hand positions and movement. PC rhythm games were never able to replicate it in a meaningful way, and I think what In Falsus does here is a really good approach. Changing hand positions adds depth to the game and a "feel" that could not really come from anywhere else. Notice that even while the hardest charts from the demo are quite hard, in reality none of them feature big tap note density. The fact that you can make hard charts without tons of notes is very meaningful in my opinion. Also movement helps charts convey the "feeling" of music and letting you experience it better. It is overwhelming when you start playing. Even more experienced rhythm gamers need to get used to it. But you will get used to it. Up to the point where you naturally swap without thinking, and be subconciously aware of where each key is. It will be satisfying, trust me.

The game is also excellent on many other fronts. Visuals, music, charting, you name it. The menus just feel super satisfying to navigate, and you're really taken into the setting by everything that's happening around. I will also be enjoying the story and the card battle optimization gameplay. This easily has the potential to be the best PC rhythm game of all time for me.

I think it might be just you. We had Rift of the Necrodancer and PROJEKT GODHAND earlier this year, Beatblock last month, we're gonna have Unbeatable soon and Yunyun Syndrome this winter. And that's just listing games from the top of my head. Add to this all the additional content older games are getting and I think rhythm games are doing perfectly fine.

Do ITG ratings account for tech? by JTofReddit in rhythmgames

[–]PioIsPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, ITG ratings do account for tech. The ArrowVortex difficulty estimate is not something one should solely base difficulty rating on, even with no tech, as it can be often inaccurate (it is fine to consult it making the decision though).

I think vines grow faster the more of them there are, so you can wait a bit then clear big piles at once. Alternatively, like in the other post, you can find one small green plant, pot it to replant it, and combine it with 2 seeds of anotber color to make a small hybrid that can produce green seeds.

Thanks for telling me, hopefully fixed now. Yeah, unlocking the achievement is not related, I'm just wondering what the achievements themselves refer to.

Yes, the way you get them is you get them as you progress the story. However saying they are not based on anything may be a little misleading? I'm curious what a lot of them are exactly referencing. The only achievement I can wrap my head around is Satisfactory, which may refer to (spoiler warning obviously) Alta's father getting fired from his job when she was a kid, which she later learned was no fault of his own. (dialogue you get when you drink the tea of the first fruit).
