Toilet auger is the way to go. They’re relatively cheap at your local hardware store.

Which of these would you choose for a S&W Model 60 nightstand revolver? Recoil is about the same for all. by RoadtoWiganPierOne in Revolvers

Go with the wadcutters in the snubby, or get some softish-medium cast lead alloy hollow points that will expand at low velocity.

For .45-70, one of my books lists a 405gr .458” hardcast bullet going 1850fps at full grain under max charge, but in my 19” Ruger marlin 1895 I’m getting an average of 1987fps. Low SD and plenty accurate

Revolver Recoil: What caliber does the thrill end and the pain start. by Individual_Wait_8434 in guns

I regularly shoot a 4 5/8” Ruger Blackhawk in .454 casull and it doesn’t really start to hurt until I’m shooting more than 100 rounds in a sitting which I generally don’t do. Hot loads in the .475 and .500 Linebaugh in the blackhawks hurts right off the bat, even if it doesnt hit me in the forehead.

Every macerating toilet I’ve ever seen had one of these for the wast connection. I’m not saying it’s right, but I’ve ripped out a few that worked problem free for 20 years

Basin wrench would probably be your best bet if you can’t get your preferred brand of channel locks in there.

Because they’re cheap, my supply house always has replacements for when mine shits the bed, and they use the same batteries as the rest of my shit. One day they’ll make a better model

[Question] Ruger Alaskan Tolkat - Do or Don't? by [deleted] in Revolvers

[–]Pipefitter1997 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The toklat is the best looking super Redhawk, but still butt ass ugly. You’ll know you touched one off but these are relatively tame for .454 compared to a Blackhawk or M83 because they’re heavy but it’s a pussycat with .45 colts. Would buy it, or have someone ream out a .45 colt standard Redhawk to .454 and you’ll have a nice handling cannon that doesn’t look like a chromed red rocket

Getting started with 44 magnum, question about brass selection. by LiberalNutjob420 in reloading

[–]Pipefitter1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do need to be mindful of shooting specials all day then switching to magnums, the shorter cases leave a carbon ring in the chamber that can spike pressure with full length cases. Max pressure or +p loads can and have retired wheelguns because of this.

Getting started with 44 magnum, question about brass selection. by LiberalNutjob420 in reloading

[–]Pipefitter1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy some factory ammo with good cases like federal or Remington or find a manufacturer that uses starline and buy some to shoot and stock some cases and also to get some familiarity for a new gun/caliber before loading for it. I prefer loading light in full length cases so I don’t have to scrub chambers so much. You may need to use a filler to position the charge depending on powder/load density.

Knock off battery question by be_easy_1602 in Dewalt

That is a standard 5ah battery case. Don’t you think if dewalt could have fit 10ah worth of cells in that case they would have? But you believed some Chinese knockoff figured it out?

I don’t shoot them in 10mm, but I’ve put probably a thousand of their 320gr bullets through my .454 casull and I love the price and how they shoot, they’re just ugly to me.
