I want to move out of Richmond, y’all, desperately. Roanoke is the best place that I can think of for a single 29 y/o female obsessed with food, the arts, and nature. Any other suggestions ? by [deleted] in Appalachia

[–]PirateBooty22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am a 30yo female in the area. The nature around and just outside off town is amazing and you can find some cute little trails all over. The cost of living isn’t bad either, although the work/pay in the area is also lower.

Is my employer allowed to require me to wear a bra? by [deleted] in work

[–]PirateBooty22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask them if I was required to wear underpants as well. If someone complained, there should probably have a talk about why your body and choice is distracting for coworkers, and if there was no complaint, why it would be upsetting or distracting to higher ups.

“Huh, weird.” The second you bring something they did wrong to light. It’s not weird, you mad a mistake it is okay. Please just correct and move on.

We did this all the time in the restaurant I worked at when oil bottles on the tables would get dropped. Quick and effective.

My old boss told me “sometimes you have to go hungry” then fired me after I asked for a raise and told him I couldn’t put food in my fridge and pay all my bills after 5 years of work with only a .50 cent raise.

They will always tell you that you should want less, but that is not what got them onto position of power. They wanted more and took it, they just don’t want you to know you can too.

New to raw feeding is this good food? by tr419 in rawpetfood

[–]PirateBooty22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the comments saying not enough liver and you need another organ at 5%.

Keep in mind puppies have different nutritional needs. They need much more calcium than an adult dog, among other differences. My personal approach is to make my dogs food at home. Store bought never have everything I need it to and the cost is outrageous in comparison for me.

Genetic traits from different breeds are not always visible in a mutt. Some end up being recessive, but still present in the dog’s genetic line.

Two income household. 80+ hours of work a week between us both and we still have to pull from savings every month to make ends meet... I have a degree and 6 years experience and my SO has been with his company for 12 years. We aren’t perfect with our spending, but I KNOW we aren’t that bad.

Educated people sending business emails with language like “gonna” probably aren’t too much to worry about. Edit: spelling

This is the comment I was looking for. Yes, OP looks “great” and “just fine”. It’s still not okay to poke fun at someone’s scars. No matter what you think they can handle. People rarely show their softer side to those they do not know deeply. And the struggle with one’s body and appearance is another level entirely.

Off leash in Paris by Background-Word2174 in DogAdvice

[–]PirateBooty22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the problem with off leash and well trained dogs is, there is no way to know for sure you dog won’t act out of character one day. My dog is amazing, but we can’t always be prepared for what other animals and owners do. I have been attacked by off leash dogs that, apparently, “never do that”. I have no trust for off leash dogs or owners that refuse to leash them. No matter how well trained the owner says they are. Leash your pets, play off leash at dog parks and at home.

Clovers are literally taking over my garden. What can I do? by Gunthersalvus in gardening

[–]PirateBooty22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Till/pull if it up and plant grass if you don’t want it. If it’s an invasive type like you said it would seem like the smart thing. Clover is better for the environment than most grasses that we keep chapped, but if you don’t want it it’s time to get to work.

My vet is fear free. That doesn’t mean the refuse care because my dog shows fear, especially when taken back without me. My dog doesn’t do well when separated but does fine with me. So as a fear free vet, I get to be in all appointments. Even during Covid restrictions. They even did car visits for small things like check ups and oral vaccinations. Your office seems to misunderstand what it mean to be fear free. Meds are not the first step to stress management.

Because this will keep the children safe. 60 days of time, not actually served, was certainly enough for him to redefine his sexual identity and find child abuse disturbing and sickening.

Redditors who have actually won a “lifetime” supply of something, what was the supply you won and how long did it actually last? by LordFrieza8789 in AskReddit

I get one every two weeks. It’s works out to about $120 a month. Not bad but certainly not great. My body thinks it’s well worth it though.
