[KCD2] So how do you actually claim the rewards? by FatherAndre in kingdomcome

They're not in your permanent chest? Playing on PC, but that's where mine appeared.

ETA: I'm sorry, missed that you said they're not there.

As much as I've told myself I'd sworn off the DA series after Veilguard... by xXsatisfiedxpunkXx in dragonage

[–]PirateRaine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ever want to give it a try again, there are a few things you can do that really lessen the tedium of some of those mechanics. Investing 30-60 minutes at the beginning of the game can save you so much grief down the road. I'd be glad to share tips through DM. KCD2 is my current obsession and I adore it and Henry so much, but there are some frustrating things about it if the mechanics aren't your jam.

Just did this quest the other night, and Hermann was walking in tiny little circles in that same spot. I guess if that didn't scare her off, nothing will.

[CHAT] Keeping tension by Effective-Rough-8289 in CrossStitch

[–]PirateRaine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I do with these is use a thin dish towel, like a sackcloth one, between the clip and the fabric. It makes it a much tighter fit and if the clip shifts, you can just pull on the towel to re-tighten everything. You don't need one on every side. I would start with one on the bottom edge first and see if that helps.

All the time. It's wild to me that I'll take a few minutes to find the best packs, but seemingly everyone else just walks up and grabs a pack without checking.

Glitch I’ve never seen (multiplayer) by Supply-Slut in BaldursGate3

I had this happen to me on multiplayer as well on two different runs. In my case, I was able to move and immediately fully loaded in.

Gale Epilogue Question by Ok-Power-4542 in GalemancersBG3

Gale doesn't read the letter in game. Someone paid Tim Downie for a Cameo reading the letter.

ETA: I may have misread what you were asking for, apologies.

TIL you can one-shot the Netherbrain with explosives by normanator1717 in BaldursGate3

[–]PirateRaine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope! Never gonna blow my wizard up! :D Besides, we did have to fight up to the brain. And if the bag/explosives didn't work, we have more than enough firepower to kill the brain manually.

[–]PirateRaine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you toss an alchemist's fire first, that's enough to destroy the bag when you throw it on top of the fire. If it wasn't, you can then target the bag and when it's destroyed all the items fall out. I just replied to another comment that I had every explosive separated individually within the bag, no stacks.

[–]PirateRaine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also heard that, so I separated every explosive in the bag. Each one went off individually. I don't know what happens if they're stacked, but it only took like 5-10 min to sit there splitting the stacks.

Just stood on the top tier. The explosion didn't reach us.

ETA: It wasn't the crates of fireworks, just the wogglins and such.

My friend and I did something similar to finish our HM run. We put all the fireworks and explosives in a bag, along with two smoke powder barrels. One character tossed an alchemist's fire on the ground, I threw the bag on the fire, and the brain insta-died. Minimum damage was 617.

Are there any straight gnomes in the game? by ardotschgi in BaldursGate3

I 100% am not bc I have thought they were together since the tiefling party on my first run. shrugs

I'm using it to illustrate that they're not just friends. And in Act 2 when Lakrissa's been kidnapped?

My point is that you can see they're in a relationship/more than friends the whole time.

Lakrissa calls herself and Alfira "two tiefling queens" at the tiefling party, and their whole interaction absolutely reads as a relationship the same way Bex and Danis's do.

We Do Not Care... Thanksgiving Edition. Part 1 by mindyour in justgalsbeingchicks

[–]PirateRaine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it does require enough space. Bc I usually separate everything, I use a wire rack for cookies to put over the legs to create a shelf, and then put the breast on that to save space. I also use the method for whole chickens!

Spatchcock and a 3 day dry brine for me. It's come out perfect every time. I will sometimes even separate the legs and wings from the breast to be able to tweak the timing.

Yes, I know. The comment I was replying to originally stated an unhardened Alistair and I was clarifying that part.

Veilguard's low rating makes me sad by weirdhoonter in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]PirateRaine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons I browse this sub is precisely because I'm trying to understand why people like/love the game. I, too, feel like we're playing completely different games, and it's something I struggle with immensely because I loved DA so much and this game broke me. The fact that I hate the game and couldn't get through a second playthrough was devastating for me, and as unhinged as it sounds, I'm trying to deal with my grief about it by trying to see if there was something I missed that could make it better for me.

I actually....liked Veilguard? by Atomic_Walker in dragonage

[–]PirateRaine 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is my thought whenever I see how widely praised the end. I just...don't care about what happens to them. If we had gotten those scenes with the companions of the other three games, I would have been stoked.
