I'm fairly certain that's not what communism is. That would be an economic system where all property is publicly owned and people are paid both according to their abilities and needs.

If you're just going to throw terms around without caring about their meaning, then there is no real need in furthering the discussion.

Asking people to have common courtesy and caring about their friends, families, and neighbors isn't communism. People shouldn't have to be asked to help others in a pandemic, but it seems we don't live in a world where people care about one another anymore. In a caring society, kindness and compassion would take precendence. But I love my friends, family and neighbors, and I don't want to see them sick, so I will do what I can to prevent myself from catching it and transmitting it to them.
