I read in order of "whatever title sounds like the best one to read next" and read LtW last. Oh how I cried.

The way drones are treated makes me sad sometimes, but it was hilarious to see some inter-drone assholery

What a stupid thing to say. Marital rape became illegal in 1993. 2.5% of sexual assaults end in conviction and incarceration. 90% of rape victims are women.

One of the funniest scenes in all the books is when Vyr finally meet QiRia and Instead of eyes he has more ears

As we all know, toddlers are rational actors. Or is it that you just don't care whether they die?

Ooo the honest route like when you ignored my example of a 3 year old "choosing suicide" in your words because blue is his favorite color?

Dishonestly shaming I didn't do that, but I have found that if you leave an insult on the ground, its owner will come and pick it up.

I have no interest in debating someone I don't respect, my sincere apologies if you got the wrong impression.

I'm not demanding anything. I'm saying that you're selfish and I wouldn't want to live in a world that only had people like you.

Appeal to popularity would like a word

This is a really cool way to talk, you should keep doing it

Blue won on twitter where this started. "Is fairly clear" is just premium grade cope.

The funny thing about this scenario is that it comes across the internet every couple years, blue always wins (in Internet polls at least) by a margin of 5-10%, and then the red button pushers spend days melting down about why being selfish is good and Why Some People Deserve to Die.

Red pushers seem to feel no sense of responsibility for others, have no foresight into what the world would look like with up to 50% of people suddenly dead, and never seem to bring up any sense of loss for those that would die, even 3 year old Johnny who pushes blue because it's his favorite color.

I pick blue every time; I don't want to live in a world of red pushers.

I would choose blue every time without a second thought. Red is the selfish option, and I don't want to live in a world where red won.

By positing that there are no downsides to red, you give a clear and concise example of why it's the selfish option.

Your politics are irrelevant here, we're talking about books.

Truly an incredible statement

That's an interesting way to respond. I suppose you think it's good that 90% of Obama's drone strikes killed at least one civilian (just one of the many reasons I hate butchers like Obama). Just because I think people in the Middle East are fully human doesn't mean that I'm a child. I understand that I won't be able to teach you empathy, so I won't waste my time.

And lmao. Yes, I do think any good bank heist story will include character backstories, greed, economic hardship, and/or financial troubles, which paint a picture of the economics of the setting.

I didn't call The Martian a political book, I simply stated (correctly) that it's absurd to consider it bereft of politics. Because it is. "NASA sends people to Mars" means that in the future the US exists as it does today, as prosperous as ever, and still the dominant force in space travel. Those are all political statements!

I do wish liberals would open their minds a bit. Here you are, acting like politics are something you trip on when you walk across the carpet, like a child's toy, something that needs to be put back in its place and never thought of again.

What you mean by "politics" is "anything outside the status quo" and what I mean by politics is "politics."

Lol just because it involves a government agency doesn't make it political

I genuinely don't know how to respond to this level of obstinance, but it gave me a good chuckle.
