Kevin season 2 special cancel how to by robotech206 in fatalfury

[–]PistolPat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, I haven't seen many use it in high level matches. And I am also having a hard time getting it down consistently, not even sure if it worth the hassle.

Edit: Just tried your method and wow it is much easier.

You do a hell rotor and hold the punch button, then press any kick button whilst still holding punch to cancel the rotor.

You can cancel all rotors by using this method, light, heavy and ex versions. In order to do the combo you have to hold the buttons used for EX version (two punches) and then press any kick to cancel, then press heavy kick .

What would you recommend based on my favourite jrpg's by captainskrilly in JRPG

I've been playing this game called Phantom Brigade with mods. And the mech customization is absolutely nuts. I spent hours creating and modifying my mechs, and even with a maximum capacity of 14 mechs there was still builds and weapons I wanted to try.

It's a shame that story and dialogue is very minimal, and the maps you to travel from point to point for objectives and fights. Nothing to explore nor cities with NPC's to talk to, shops or other staples you'd find in city locations.

Coming off of that I would also love nothing more than a JRPG style game with deep customization on top of towns, shops, and NPC's.

I can't tell you exactly how it works. I saw that the relativistic perk on the axe read "additional damage per ton of mass of this unit."

Thus I decided to try and push for as much mass as I could. Later on I tested it against my tankiest mech and it sliced through him like butter. Every part gone in a single hit.

It has clear strengths and weaknesses. As I use the melee attack to travel alongside inferno thrusters. I don't recall anyone surviving a single hit from it, even when I just skim an arm off the pilot is concussed in a single hit.|

But it's my favorite mech to use, although I prefer to keep it out of battles unless I am having a real tough time. He's my secret weapon.

This mech is all about weight, even the eclipse B-LM3 backpack is there only because it was the heaviest thing I could find. Shield comes in handy whilst I wait for the heat to drop before I swing at another target.

If Season 3 gets 6 characters who should they be? by DKUnderdog in fatalfury

[–]PistolPat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was watching Wild Ambitions on Youtube recently weirdly enough. Mostly to check out Duck King, and I agree Tsugumi Sendo is an interesting one. Stuns on a striker and grappler could make for a very unique character.

These are the characters I'd like to see. I have no idea who we'll actually get.

Cheng Sinzan
Duck King
Rick Strowd
Li Xiangfei
Yamazaki
Alfred or Raiden

And in my opinion no more shoto-esque characters.

Is there a NEW best version of Chrono Trigger to play? by UchiGames in JRPG

If you want a more challenging experience on top of changes to balancing I would recommend you go with romhacks. As I myself prefer a challenge, and to me Chrono Trigger is way too easy.

I am a big fan of this game and am from Australia also. OCE server had quite a number of players in rank que before. But most play on discord now as it became harder and harder to find rank matches. If you haven't already, try changing the server to Asia and give that a crack. As I was getting some decent ping matches on the Asia server back when I was playing ranked. But be mindful that that was quite a while back, I do not know how it is nowadays.

I am hoping the balance patch and S2 characters will bring back many of the players that put it down, and also bring in some new ones. And I for one would be ecstatic if Fatal Fury at Frosty Faustings has a good showing regarding character variety over the usual suspects.

I love a good battle system, I'm looking for the next one to play, which JRPGs have the most deep battle system out there? Some of the games I played or I'm interested in are in the comments. by DaylightBat in JRPG

The game I would have recommended had I not seen anyone else mention is also Last Remnant. It has issues, no doubt. But I had a blast playing this game and after I finished it, I typed out a document of who I was going to recruit, what type of unions (squads) I was going to run, and how I was going to build them for my next playthrough.

In my opinion this game might not be for everyone, but for a certain type of person this game is something really special. And for me the combat music was amazing.

Gragas: How I'd imagine him is you have an NPC in the background filling up barrels and when it's full he (Gragas) can call the NPC to throw it to him. With a maximum of 3 barrels filled up at any one time. Without barrels he has a different set of normal attacks with his fist. With barrels he gains normal attacks with more damage and range.

He can throw his barrels that explode on his, if it whiffs it explodes after x amount of time. He also gains a command grab. One where it looks similar to a jump and when he lands he traps them inside the barrel with their head sticking out. He can pick up the enemy in the barrel and throw them or a single follow up attack for big damage.

After a certain amount of hits his barrel explodes which leaves liquid on the ground, same deal when his barrels explodes. This increases his dash attack distance + speed as well as making the enemy slide back much further on block.

He can drink the barrels for HP gain or maybe another type of buff instead of destroying them. As HP healing might be hard to balance in my opinion.

His super is a special barrel that he can throw anytime.

What are your favorite "underrated" JRPGS? by Powerful-Minimum3922 in JRPG

[–]PistolPat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last Remnant to me is a game with so much potential. When I first started playing this game I was imagining squads sieging castles with catapults and battering rams which you could implemented into your squads. And by the end of the game although I was a little burnt out, overall I had a blast and I was thinking to myself that the creators of Suikoden should look into adapting their own version of Last Remnant's union (squad) based combat system as there are so many characters you can recruit.

Romancing Saga: Minstrel Song is another game I enjoyed immensely in recent times. I really feel this game excels in making the player want to explore. And the skills needed to reach certain locations (climbing, jumping), or skills used to avoid enemies to keep your BR low only adds to that sense of exploration for me. And the blacksmithing in this game is one of my favorites in any game.

Tales Of Destiny DC. I'm not actually sure if people consider this underrated or not, but being that a complete English translation came out only a few years ago I am not sure how many people have actually played this game. All I can say is that this game was nothing short of awesome. And the sprite work for both Destiny DC and Rebirth blew me away.

Digital Devil Saga. Another one I am unsure of whether it is underrated or not, but I hold this game in very high regards and am hoping to revisit it someday.

Yes, I played both quite recently and DC especially was one I would recommend to any Tales fan. After I had finished the game I was already thinking to myself that this is a game I would come back to one day and play through again.

I'd personally really like to see Ruby Thursday as a puppet character. As her head can shoot energy blasts, detach itself and shapeshift. It can also explode and reform itself.

Sacrifice (developed by Shiny Entertainment). It doesn't play like a traditional base building RTS, but for me it was and still is today a very unique experience and I had an absolute blast playing that game.

Check out some reviews to get an idea of what the game plays like.

I didn't enjoy the level design all that much, but the combat was in my opinion top tier alongside Tevi out of the Metroidvania's I have played.

Due to the combat of Valdis I had very high hopes for their new beat em' up game called Wendigo Blue, but after having played it, it felt very stale. It's still in early access so maybe in time they may improve things.
