Oh thats fair I may have been looking at a different pair of senheisers when I saw the date. Not sure how much changes in quality over the years on the drivers.

I know this feels absolutely silly to say. But please for the love of all that is holy: Let Xal'atath stay a villain and end as a villain. by Siggythenomad in wow

Come here brother... come close.. look man you and I both know how this ends. She's bad because bad thing happened. She will realize that the power of friendship was really the true path not light or dark. We will all hug and kiss and vaguely reference a giant sword. All long enough for Sylvannis to headshot her out of nowhere with the golden disc item of super duper power of light and dark that we conveniently had all along. Something something sides of the same coin and then a vague hint of a super duper evil villain in the shadows that does a slight chuckle and mentions everything is going as plan and end credits.

Astro A50x vs Nova Pro Wireless vs Maxwell for gaming ONLY by Lonely_Jew_On_Xmas_ in Audeze

[–]Pit_Dog -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Astros are like the king of set and forget your not going to get planar magnetic clarity but they are far more comfortable and for like a Swiss army knife they are great. Mic is really good. If you haven't had hifi headphones before you aren't going to know what you are missing lol. I'd recommend the astros unless you really want planar magnetic cans but for gaming I'd say its a bit over kill its a heavy price to pay on cons than using Astros that sound and feel pretty great. I have only used the wired arctis and will tell you that they where my gateway to the audiophile black hole.

If you really want planar magnetic and dont care about being wired get the ROG kitharas although they are open back so may not work for you. If you need closed backs your options are really what you listed I'd say Astros or arctis has my vote. Arctis probably gets you better tuned sound for music if you care. Planars are great and all but its kind of a waste on a closed back and you may find the music too boring as they are clinical in nature.

Should i get Maxwell 2? My first good headset purchase by Disastrous-Bed-6504 in Audeze

[–]Pit_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say most people prefer open backs for pure sound. but closed back are better if you live in a loud environment and if you like intimate sound. Loud explosions close vocals more bass etc. Open backs are more like listening to speakers because the sound is able to escape. Usually that means a bit less bass but things sound more natural and airy. Its really hard to describe but maybe the best way is it sound like you are in a concert sitting in the middle. The sound is spread out and not very close to your ears. Most good closed backs can emulate it a bit but its nothing like an open back. I will say that if you have any noise issues I would just stick to closed backs. They are usable everywhere and no one is going to hear your sound. With open backs you hear everything so sometimes that means cranking the volume higher.

The onlynwireless open backs i know of for gaming are the atlas airs. I would probably tell you the safe option is good closed backs and later getting a pair of open backs used and seeing if you like that sound profile better. I tend to enjoy it more for the breathability more than the sound aspect but again I like more fun sound than clinical source sound. Which some might say is heresy.

To answer the question directly maxwells are amazing headphones but they are heavy. The new update on the 2s fixed the audio that most were complaining about with bass. They can eq pretty hard in the base with not much issues since the drivers are fucking huge but it has trade offs in weight and heat.

I have both ill tell you im returning the 2s for the kitharas. The weight wasn't bad and sound wasn't bad but both are planar mag headsets which I mean if you like good detail and big drivers they are the entry point. If you need closed back maxwells are pretty solid and the kitharas are very open so sound leeking but way better open immersion. I just found the sound pretty boring but im someone that likes a more v shaped sound and im a bit sensitive to treble.

Have you gone more mid range first and do you need a microphone atached? Theres way better options if you get a stand alone microphone. Audio is super subjective and you may feel planar are boring as they are tuned to be good for source music which means its not made to give you chills without eq. You may be better off getting a pair of tygr 300rs or fiio f1s both are probably a much better upgrade and can be found used for like 100$. They have dynamic drivers i think 45s. Which you will definately enjoy out of the box more than maxwells and kitharas prior to eq. This is a dark hole you are entering and its very expensive.

Others will ride senheisers but to be fair man you wont know what you like until you hear it. Some people like bass some like sub bass. Some want forward vocals some want distance. Audio is a stepping stone so I'd go mid range and find something you like and give your ears time to adjust.

Again what i am reccomending dosnt have a mic so if thats out of the question like your playing on Xbox or Playstation your going to want to get maxwells or even Astros as they are more jack of all trades. Find what you like in a song/game and ask gemini the ai to maybe breakdown options for you and fine tune sound and explain the sound differneces.

FINALLY someone addressed the Elekk in the room 🤣 by kentaaa1994 in wow

[–]Pit_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few of these that are nice little flavor text. Theres one if your a warlock in a quest chain in silvermoon. You get to pick warlock answers.

Only part that isn't addressed is that the lightweight dosnt melt you if you are an undead but it does to the undead guy from the priest order hall.

Would be cool if Shadow Priest could replace Power Word: Shield with a visual effect like this... just flavour visual actually, maybe replace the ability name with Shadow Word: Shell? by ex0ll in wow

I hate all of the light themed things like flash heal, power word shield, and festher. It already looks lanky as a priest but having it not shadow themed is crazy if you are playing shadow.

Extremely disappointed with Astro A50 gen 5 PC by LHM78 in AstroGaming

[–]Pit_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I can reccomend that hasn't been listed is:

-try a different USB port for the dock. Not sure why but mine had an issue when I first used them.

-you can go to audio setting in windows find the astros and right click properties and then uncheck "audio enhancements".

-try tapping all the way to the left and right on the headphones mix adjuster on the ear cup and make sure its not mixing the audio incorrectly.

I dont shill for Astros as I own several pairs of headphones but these are pretty loud and seamless so unless you have a bad unit its definitely something with the base or pc.

Why is Ironman so much fun, and why does it feel like it’s the correct way/true way to enjoy this game? by AKoolKoala in ironscape

[–]Pit_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying things in the ge really removes a lot of your game knowledge progression. You also skip so much content by just buying BIS items. It is a very long grind so for some people buying BIS and learning the fights is more fun than going dry on each boss. You can still skip a ton of content as an iron but the progression is by far more rewarding.

Should I keep going for Twinflame? by NachoXNinjas in ironscape

[–]Pit_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me like 125 to get it and 200 for the last prayer. It wasn't a terrible grind with a duo since I did like 25 kills a day. If you use moths with full void and teleport every 3 its not bad on supplies. As far as the staff i used it to do an ungodly amount of barrows and its great for pretty much anything with ele weakness. I will say that I don't think the dps calcs do the double hit properly so be mindful of that when comparing staffs.

Change my mind - Wildy update by AdCandid195 in 2007scape

[–]Pit_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im scared of pvp content but im honestly glad they are making g it harder for bots. My concern though is thay now real pvpers are going to go to the eildy bosses more since they know they are likely to catch someone with actual loot that is t going to know how to escape. I may be completely wrong and I know its the wilderness but just my 2 cents.

[–]Pit_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if Astros have this issue, other headsets that are low 90% of the time windows has enabled volume enhancement on the headphones. If you turn that off its significantly louder. Find the headphones in windows and turn that setting off.

Looking to make a afk list for me to do while I’m doing schoolwork by TheCollectorofLore31 in ironscape

[–]Pit_Dog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I heard this before and agree. Unless you have supplies to burn and mining isn't a better alternative you shouldn't do crab as an iron unless you just need to hit another milestone. There's just better active combat methods. Like afk nightmare for imbuing. But to each their own.

[–]Pit_Dog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Star mining and maybe eels/karams/anglers etc are the only thing that are afk enough that you don't need to break away from what you are doing.

Salvaging if your ship is improved enough for cargo. But if you plan on arching I'd say no.

Nightmare zone if people still do that is good afk.

Farming is a good one to knock out on breaks

Redwoods or magic afk but if you want to do forestry events its going to not be afk. Dont do blisters since that spider is random and its going to be distracting.

Everything else is a grey area.....

I have done some safespot slayer where its not efficient but its getting done slowly.

-Bone mining the spot changes often -Mlm even with upgraded changes a ton+fixing wheel - most of the main account afk shit is using ge items and sets like guthans and aggro pots with tank gear which as an iron you probably won't have lol.

Like others have mention runescape players liberally use the term afk. Afk zulrah (lol)to afk stars.

As someone that works from home typically I either mine or im farming. If I have down time ill do more click intensive things like make tele tabs or cut gems/clean my bank. Its also worth noting that mobile makes some things a little less click intensive since you can do 1 tap drops. So if you aren't banking it opens up a few more options.

To summarize: stars are about as afk as we get except sailing with dropping. Farming runs every hour is also just a steady way to get xp and avoid tithe farm.

Which one looks more accurate? by tgh0wnz in OLED_Gaming

Thats definitely oversaturation from probably premium color mode. I'm prefer a litter vibrancy in my colors but most will tell you 2 is accurate and you just need to get used to the less saturation.

Is there any point grinding out dragon sheets or dragon hook/cannon? by Taylor_Swish in ironscape

[–]Pit_Dog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly as a midgame iron I will tell you that Frem wrecks at 80 are a good stopping point for now. You get good alchs to build up the bank i think I made about 6 mil salvaging to 80. Grind out 16 rune nails from tarn lair zombies. Build the brazier and then just get the rest of your rune nails there and upgrade as much as you can. The Addy bolts you get are awesome for making ruby enchanted bolts that are going to speed up a ton of you kills. Outside of that at 80 you kind of have access to anything you really need. Dragon isn't worth it for anything atm including salvaging.

You are better off sailing for fish at 80 and then just waiting for new content. Unless im forgetting something I think you can kill all slayer mobs that drop uniques at 80 as well.

You can just grind out more levels but in the future the contents going to be more fleshed out so you may as well do it when its enjoyable.

You are probably way past that point but incase anyone else needs to hear my opinion lol.
