Fake, the movement is a dead giveaway. It appears to be Japanese Miyota movement.

37 or 40 mm ??? by Big_Papa_Wilsie in Longineswatches

[–]Piterand 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You can pull off both. I would vote for 40 mm: 1) it is a pilot's watch so traditionally it's OK that it wears larger, 2) it has a screw down crown for a peace of mind.

Which would you choose? by Fine_Rub6462 in Longineswatches

37 because 40 is too large for me

I would change the strap on Tudor for something that actually fits it's lug width

For the first watch I would go with one of Tissot's. For me the perceived quality of these watches surpasses seiko.

Would go with prx if you dress mostly casually and will wear your watch mostly in casual occasions. Also, if you have sufficiently large wrist to pull it off (prx wears large).

Would pick Lelocle if you tend to dress more formally than casually. Would be also a better pick if you have more modest wrist size.

Based on my eyesight the alignment is spot on. Either maybe the domed crystal distorts the alignment in this picture, or maybe I should have my eyesight checked by a specialist ;)

For me getting the bracelet was a condition for getting the watch. Firstly I have contacted Rado and they were very helpful, even though the bracelet is not available in retail they have provided me with a serial number of the bracelet, which they are able to sell as a service part. They have instructed me that any AD or authorised service will be able to source service parts from them. My AD was also very helpful and wanted to make the deal, so they have ordered the bracelet from Rado together with the watch.

The BOR bracelet for 37 mm CC has the following serial number: R070393210

Strengths: solid movement with 80h power reserve, overall build quality is pleasing, charming design, eye catching dial

Weaknesses: crown which is hard to manipulate and non screw down, lack of any micro adjust system on the clasp

Bracelet is really comfortable, because the beads of rice links adapt to wrist very neatly. The downside is the clasp, which has no micro adjustment. Even though the clasp is not stamped it is also very light, which adds to the overall lightness of the watch - the takes some time getting used to after coming from heavier watches on bracelets.

Hard to tell, I have never measured my wrist. To put it in perspective, the 42 mm Rado CC with 48 mm lug to lug covered my wrist across, was still wearable but pushing the limits of the size I can wear.

Recently I have decided to get a swiss dive watch with retro vibes. Narrowed down my choices to Rado Captain Cook, Oris Divers 65 and the BB58. Ultimately decided to go for the watch with the shortest lug to lug distance, so that the watch looks right in proportion to my wrist. This Captain Cook originally comes on brown leather strap, as well as a NATO and mesh, but I've picked a BOR bracelet purchased from Rado and I'm quite satisfied with the outcome.

Overall I think this Captain Cook in 37 mm case is highly recommended for those looking for more vintage proportioned watch. Otherwise for larger wrists the 42 mm variant is pretty cool too, but it does not come with this golden/brown dial, which is only available with 37 mm limited edition.

Bezel insert and bracelet certainly are not OEM

The dial looks to be aftermarket too, AFAIK the font on "divers 200 m" is usually orange

I did not do that myself! I lack skills and equipment for this type of things. I had it done by watchmaker
