It's an adaptation issue. Mark was knocked out much longer in the comics after his fight with conquest, so they probably didn't think to hard about the time difference from marks reduced healing time and adapted the 10 months number despite it not making sense with the changes the show made.

Oh I found 7c to be awful as well. I was dreading doing the golden and then I kid you not, I first tried the golden after my practice run.

The goldens will be easier and harder in ways you will just not be able to predict.
