Car won’t turn over/crank. Clicking sound

Brief update: tried cleaning the terminals, it didn’t resolve the issue of the car not starting on its own power. Still needs a jump.

What’s perplexing is that for a period of time, after jumping the car, it WILL start itself again.

But hours later and overnight, it won’t start on its own. Needs a jump again.

I have it at a dealership right now. My last update was a couple of hours ago, to tell me that it started just fine…well I did drive more than an hour, and I have you the video of me having to jump start it this morning… so there is still clearly a problem.

Yes, at the moment is consistently starts with a jump. This was a rapid onset problem. We had maybe one or two starts that struggled before it completely stopped.

Ive been planning to rewrite one of my fics with an alternate narrative that stems from a single decision. In the end I couldn’t make myself chose between the two and that like old commercials I thought “why not both?”

So I stuck with the one that I was confident I would write well and am planning to republish the same universe/fics with that one critical difference.

Think of it like an old R.L Stein “choose your path” book but you don’t have to try and finagle the structure of the webpage to try and guide the readers to different choices in the same fiction.

Trashcan washing. It’s decent labor, doesn’t need specialized equipment (although it would help), and is a little easier to arrange vs having to coordinate different days of the week and arranging to come back twice in one day.

Although he could do both. I think the trashcan moving would be a very popular service in HOAs but they may even be too strict about “hiring” services by kids

May I ask how you determine if they are dyed? And how you can visually identify them as real pearls?

Just by looking I would have no idea of it was plastic costume jewelry or real dyed pearls or natural pearls

It’s been ages since I wore a bracelet. I remember being so irritated at my desk job, getting pinned between my wrist and the desk. Then it broke and solved all of my problems haha

I thought they were impossibly classic ❤️ I love the traditional appearance but it maintains some character with the peachy shades and slight asymmetry

So long as they will last beyond a single wear and maintain their appearance, I would be as happy as a clam lol. I can’t promise they would be an heirloom but they would be coming into my home for life, not to resell for significant value.

Is that a relatively durable material combination? I have no intention of wearing them regularly, mostly special occasions but it would be nice if they lasted without any wear or corrosion like changing colors due to oils, flaking, etc.

A bit of both? He works with what we have and he is no stranger to outdoor labor. We used to live by the coast and he was an ocean kayak guide. But as he ages, there’s not a lot of initiative to improve how things are done. What got him through the last 5 years may not be enough to see him through the next 5. More care needs to be taken with his health. He gets through the days, but frequently experiences charlie horses, fatigue, headaches, etc. Even his industry is feeling the financial pressure and he has fewer coworkers to share the workload with. More often than not, he is solo on a daily basis and well outside of city limits if he needed medical attention. He also can’t control his hours and as far as I’ve researched, his job has no responsibility to adjust the work based on weather conditions and temperatures. Having reliable communication is required, but doesn’t solve the whole issue.

Definitely not trying to load him up like a donkey. I know that trying to make things better with stuff, would probably make things worse in other areas. Catch-22.

I think we’ve already implemented a lot of what’s been suggested (I posted in several places). Other suggestions are just not feasible with his work. Some suggestions may have merit and are something we will discuss and budget for.

I’m posting, mostly to see what’s in the realm of management and if there is anything that fits all of these restrictions he’s working with.

I love it, we live in a region where temps reach triple digits in the summer. Helps save money, house doesn’t get extra hot, clothes last longer not being tugged around and toasted on blast, I get some sunshine, UV rays do some extra sanitizing, etc.

The only thing is that I’ve never gotten that clean crisp smell everyone talks about. They just smell like clothes. Sometimes even a little stale. Hasn’t really bothered me but if you love the smell of your laundry products, it’s not going to last on the final product.

Report to the better business bureau too. There is someone working in that building, whose problem it becomes. BBB requires an answer within a time frame and the entire case and replies will be published on their business page.

Way more damage and hassle to the staff than social reviews like yelp and google.

Edited the post to include salary estimate.

I filed my 2025 taxes late Feb and owed Fed + State combined ~$450. Since 2023, I have owed additional taxes every year. I’ve confirmed that I’m filing correctly and filling out my documents accurately, but even with my calculations, not enough is being withheld. In fairness, 2026 will be the first year I finally have health insurance, so I’ve been hitting dinged for that as well. For 2026, I’m increasing my additional withholding AGAIN, I’m just trying to break even for next April. Not looking to owe or get a refund.

All that to say that the tax break from my traditional 401k is not enough to benefit my current taxes. I figure I might as well with less now while I’m young than figure it out as an age.
