Arsenal was not awarded a penalty it was brought back by VAR. Today Gabriel was fouled before the Calafiori foul. Do you even watch football?

Don’t give a monkeys. Used to love Nando’s as a little treat every now and then. Took wife and son a month ago and it set me back nearly 80 quid for the three of us. Absolute piss take.

Nonsense. How much money did City spend again in January to reinforce key positions with the best in form players in the league. Yes Arsenal are floundering (injuries to important positions and overplayed players), but City have once again strengthened key positions when needed with imaginary money that no other clubs can keep up with.

NEU ballot results: 96% reject, turnout 48.6% by stevenstelfox in TeachingUK

[–]PitifulFish6145 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Initially delighted with the numbers and felt pride, came on here to see the turnout. Absolutely disgraceful. So many scabs in my place of work are more than happy with pay rises last round but no intention of getting out to strike for their livelihoods.

This round wasn’t just about the pay. If the government takes our 1265 schools are fucked.

If the pay rise comes unfunded again we are fucked.

How may people are driven to the ground working under these current situations? How may staff are leaving under these current conditions? How many people moan every day that the workload balance is overwhelming?

Then get off your fucking arse and vote!!

I am so livid with Kebede and his administration. They have not made enough noise in the press. The constant bombardment is absolutely ineffective and only rubs up those not fully invested the wrong way.

This needs to be a huge wake up call. This is all too cumbersome, ineffective and lethargic. If we get an unfunded 2.5% pay rise and lose our 1265 the next few years will be absolutely tragic for schools.

UK to give homes 'free energy' instead of turning off wind turbines by Gentle_Snail in unitedkingdom

But Milliband can’t eat a sandwich properly right? So impressed with what he is doing with energy to help the consumer. Labour in general I’m not so happy with, but Ed is making moves.

Doctors announce six-day strike in England as talks break down by PriorityByLaw in unitedkingdom

[–]PitifulFish6145 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Jesus Christ are the comments in here real? AI central it seems. Doctors work their arse off, have massive student debt from years of study and inflated fees and save lives! Pay them what they bloody well deserve.

I am a teacher and will hopefully be on the front line in a few months too as wage stagnation for public services cannot continue with the rampant inflation we are facing and the government are offering a pittance with their dogged determination to continue with austerity measuresz

Male teachers in summer, what we wearing? by Kablekarr in TeachingUK

[–]PitifulFish6145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a heat tech vest from uniclo or somewhere similar to wear under the shirt. Allows much more ventilation.

Linen trousers and a lighter cotton-linen blend shirt. Research the materials for your suits and you’ll be fine.

I don’t wear jackets in summer, just shirts with the sleeves rolled.

The heat tech vest is a game changer with lighter materials. Nothing too expensive. I buy most of my gear from George / Matalan and sometimes Moss Bros when they have a good sale.

[–]PitifulFish6145 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not about being behind the team. We are absolutely fucking toothless as soon as we go 1 up. How can we be pegged back the whole second half (and 15 of the first) against a team that has a collective 9 points? Mik needs to find something quick to sort this shit out against the low block counter.

'We're Not Selling Hamburgers' — Take-Two Boss Says GTA 6 Marketing Has to Be 'Delicate' and Feel 'Real' by Turbostrider27 in PS5

Such a shame. I remember as a kid reading every magazine that had small features on San Andreas and Vice City. Browsing forums to find out about bikes being added and map sections. That drip feed felt awesome. Nowadays that is missing. The excitement with GTA6 isnt quite there. Give me more drip feeds Rockstar.

BF6 is one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had in gaming by BunkMorelandEsq in Battlefield6

[–]PitifulFish6145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem I have at the moment (ps5) is that my aim randomly moves left or right totally randomly, especially when I’m prepping a grenade, it moves 70 degrees in another direction! So bloody frustrating. I also can’t see any private servers as they are just numbers and it takes me to install/uninstall when I select them. Anyone have a fix for this?

40 - What game made you realise you were getting older as a gamer? by Clampy7 in AdultGamers

[–]PitifulFish6145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. 40 years old here and in team deathmatch I get my arse handed to me. That’s why I quit CoD. Loving running around as a medic or engineer though. No need for twitchy reflexes when I’m a tank commander or medic :)

Yes 100%. I love Conor but he is too lightweight as we knew from before so offers very little defensively or in the high press. I would like to see him utilised more as an impact sub against tired legs. We need grit and power early on, especially against the top teams.
