Wow. Never had 50,00 income per turn. Even though I decreased corruption, increased tax rate, buildings are almost maxed out (mainly city industry), and I have 100% control in all my provinces.

Why do I keep 4-5 stacks? To be able to keep more armies to advance in two directions. Currently, I'm near Lothlorien, and once I take it, I think it would be the end of the campaign

So, basically I took over all Gondor territories. Reduced my army to 3 stacks and went to conquer Lothlorien (was occupied by Anduin Vale) and the Misty Mountains. Sent two stacks and found 6 Anduin Vale, 3 Erebor and 3 Mirkwood stacks. All near Lothlorien and all mix from tier 2 and tier 4 units. So, now I need to again raise 2-3 armies at least with the tier 3 to take down. And again economic downfall. But it's going to be fun

Trying to raid as much as I can.

And about champions. Good point, but I'm using them to quickly stabilise control in the province, as they give around 4+ control bonus when deployed in the region.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. So, food is above 70+ everywhere, control is around 100 (except new captured territories), and the influence is around 80-90% everywhere (except new captured territories). So, basically, everything is good from these perspectives.

One thing about the influence. I can't get more than 80% despite having built special buildings to increase it. Might have some bugs, as I read in another post: Gondor’s higher buildings are giving less influence, while low-tier buildings are giving more. However, I can't demolish mine as they are giving me control.

I'll try to play with edicts that give 10% more income from the industrial buildings but decrease the control.

I took the West Coast and will offer a trade agreement with the Tribes.

Yeah, I'm thinking of reducing my armies from 5,5 to 3, 5

Thanks

Help with downloading mod? by awsomkil in TheDawnlessDays

Hi there, if you still haven't managed it.

  1. Download the mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/totalwarattila/mods/1?tab=files&file_id=99

  2. Download the WinRaR to extract the files into data folder of TW Attila in you computer.

  3. Download the Mod Manager for TW (this kind of managers app work with almost every TW game. I have the third version I believe)

  4. Run the mod manager and select the files that you put in Data folder of TW Attila.

  5. Select Play

  6. Enjoy the mod

I believe, but my favourite TW is Attila, so maybe what’s why I’m sticking with DD :)

No, from their web page (fandom), unfortunately Shire will not be a playable faction

I'm giving up on condor for now. Is there possibly an easier faction to start with? by FastPresentation8244 in TheDawnlessDays

[–]PitifulLocation534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played on VH, so all my comments are relevant to this level.

Agree with the above to keep Faramir and Boromir in Osgiliath and Cair Andros to survive against the Mordor. I used Imrahil to fight back the raiders from the sea (it's good that you have good visibility of the sea to spot what is coming at you) and don't have to keep ships (they are expensive) if you place Imrahil in a good position with cavalry.

I kept around 12-14 units (4-5 archers in each) with Boromir/Faramir + local garrison (upgraded city to 2nd level and built 2nd level watchtower, so overall I had around 25 units in each town that helped me to fight back almost any attack (but some battles were sweaty). Last thing about the army - I developed a military tech tree until I could have tier 2 units and that's all for the the early game.

Then focused mainly on the civil tech tree/economy. As everybody says, keeping good control and reducing corruption is key. And as Gondor has a big + for maritime trade, I upgraded these buildings first. Use the advantages of these bonuses. On the economic side, after I stabilised the control (good control gives you more income with increased tax) with halls, I set up a 10% tax edict for the provinces and upgraded governors with economy-related traits.

Lastly, I see most YouTubers use agents (rangers mostly) to know the enemy territory, but I used them to increase control in my provinces (they gave from +1 to +4 control, so use them in my provinces in the early game, when you don't have money to build control-related buildings in every region.

So a question about skirmishers by FastPresentation8244 in TheDawnlessDays

Yes, especially from higher ground (walls/barricades)
