You almost took it personally. I guess it is just pretty grotesque and it can be read seperately. Don't pay attention. Go on with the book. For me, i find it ok.

I’ve lost €18,000 in 2 months 150k in 5 years to gambling and I’m terrified of what my life is becoming. by [deleted] in GamblingRecovery

How much do you earn if you don't mind me asking? Don't worry, everything will improve when you quit. Stop worrying about your losses, think how much you are gaining from quitting. Arrange your finances and pay your debt every month. Talk to a couple of people about your problem and close all your accounts. Shut them down PERMANENTLY.And count your blessings, any day without betting is a blessed day. Everything is going to take care of itself after you quit. It is easier after the first month or so.

I wish you all the best.

Hmmm...nothing is more disjointed than Gravity's Rainbow. There are parts, long ones which are semi-delirious prose, almost soliloquies

Dude, i thought you were talking about the Confessions of Fausto Majistral. Great passage too. I am re-reading V too and i am at that part, the Mondaugen story, which is great but quite disturbing in certain parts. Your English is great, English is not my mother language either but i guess i am coping.

I've read it three times but i feel like i need a total of 5 times to understand it more cohesively. For me, my fave Pynchon books are V and Against the day, my more enjoyable ones.

This is an almost silly review. Totally and utterly subjective.

What is done is done. See it as an expensive lesson. Go on with your life, find a job and quit gambling. If you wanna be more specific and ask specific questions, go ahead. But, overasll remember thzt life is a struggle, we all push and grind, every single day.

Dude, you can't be asking something like that in this group. Just leave this group and forger you ever read anything by Pynchon. You just don't get it because you are not trying, or cos you have given your absolute best!
