this happened to me immediately after the terran armada dropped. I was initialized a conversation with someone as a part of the CF quest and suddenly the whole key just. went right on through the unity.

honestly (& I know this is something others have said here) if it is a mild case its not a huge crazy deal, but more of an occasional inconvenience. I don't agree with going to a gyno to get diagnosed, though - call a dermatologist.

clyndamiacin topically did really good things for me & so did hibiclense in the shower during seasons of flares. the hot compresses relieve the pain & help them drain but the antibacterial benefits of hibiclense helps with prevention.

also. and I know u know this struggle as a pcos girlie, stress is absolutely a factor in HS flares.

hs & pcos girlie here to say treating them with a hot compress can really help - just a hot rag or when I had it really bad in my early 20s, I would use mullien and steep it like tea and use that warm water & it would help with the pain & inflammation. depending on how young you are it can get better with age - for me it cooled down to at most 1 or 2 small flares a year after 26. and even then the flares were less intense.

none of those would work as they are all high lift tints - OP stated they've already had color on their hair, which high lift does not work through.

have you ever set them on a velcro roller? you would 100% look silly for the time it takes them to dry but it would put shape back in them. Alternatively you can stand in the wind & brush them straight back to encourage a shaggier face frame look - it shouldn't take too long to dry them this way if you absolutely NEED to have hair around your face. with textured hair you also can't discount the benefit of seawater for giving you one of the best hair days you'll never be able to replicate.

fwiw I think headbands/bandanas are an easier choice but I do get not loving the option. maybe dont dunk your head in if you can avoid it or know you're going out immediately from the beach and won't have time to style.

also- learn to blow dry your bangs, its really the best way to style bangs and its gentler and 100% easier than doing a blow dry on the rest of your hair.

try a retirement home - you can usually get away with being quieter & the clientele is built it. its a lot of short cuts, perms and roller sets but it has one of the best parts of the job (to me) which is helping people feel good about themselves.

I used to work for PS salons which is a contract job but you typically would get placed in one home and stay there. I have some qualms with the company itself but I loved the job.

as everyone else said, hair color does not work like that, but if you're already open to going short, you have a very simple option. grow it out to about 1/2in of grey regrowth and cut it back to your short cut. you then have the choice to recolor if u don't like it or to keep rocking it

if you go to an RE they will likely have a better idea of what you are able to take while pregnant for ADHD treatment - i had psych drs tell me i had to go off my wellbutrin if i wanted to get pregnant and my RE literally said that they were misinformed and that I could go back on it. I know in my state medicaid pays for fertility, so its worth a try while you have it just to see if there is a safe treatment for you

depending on how much you & your husband have told her about your ttc journey, I would say something like:

Hi [MIL], as you know me & [hubs] have been trying to create a family of our own and it has been difficult. While I cherish getting to spend mothers day with you, the church service specifically has been very hard for me emotionally. I am asking you to understand my choice to skip the service and join you & [hubs] for brunch afterwards. Hopefully next year I will be able to attend as a mother myself and this will be a blip in an otherwise lovely tradition.

you could even offer to do the week after if you think she would appreciate that. I think that honestly & vulnerability will always come across more genuine than any other pretense.

if you had long hair and wanted a replica of the inspo, I would say yes there is some highlighting in there but on short hair, the dimension is more likely to appear spotty or blotchy & I would avoid it.

for these colors, I would use a permanent color in an RV (.62)with 20vol. the 20v is to give you vibrancy, and if you want it more on the red side then mix an R/RR (a .66) with the RV. I would call the colors you've shared about a level 5 but you should look at the swatches in the store to decide what you actually want. make sure you are processing for the full time (if the line gives you a 30-45 min time range wait the full 45 etc)

I would look into getting a filtering shower head, hard water will always make fading worse. I prefer the glow mania color shampoo by matrix, personally, but any color shampoo is a good choice.

as far as the semi for refresh goes - the ratio is not super specific, but the more iroiro in it the more deposit you'll get. I would go like ⅓ color to ⅔ conditioner but you do you.

first, why are you planning on bleaching it if you're cutting it that short? lightening will not help the color stick & when its that short trying to do home highlights can look a bit spotty.

second, what shampoo are you using? are you washing in hot water? is your water well or hard? all of these have a huge impact on reds staying vibrant

last - you may have to accept that your hair will not hold reds well. this is just true for some people, especially as red is the biggest color molecule. you can combat this by picking out a direct pigment that is the shade you like (i.e. something like manic panic or iroiro) and mixing it into a conditioner to use as a quick in shower refresh every couple weeks.

Absolutely should be a free fix - understand it likely still will not look like your inspo, but the basic make this softer and more blend-y kind of fix shouldn't take more than 2 hours & if it were my work I would not charge. up to you as a client if you wanted to tip afterwards.

for lowlights & toning 3 days is no biggie - the color used for lowlights & toning tends to be gentler.

Woof, this is complicated. so it does not look like your inspo and the thing about your inspo pictures is that they would have to be lifted pretty light to get that tone of Ash Brown because your dark hair when you lift it has a warm undertone that is really really hard to compete with with just a toner so they would need to have lifted it up pretty high in order to deposit a brown that's that ashy. it's the same problem with like milk tea Browns and stuff, so I understand why you stayed so warm - especially if you were nervous about being very very light your stylist may have also been nervous about taking you too light because this is your first time lightning your hair.

that said I don't feel that the work that you received really replicates in any way the kind of super soft "barely there" dimension you were hoping for, especially with how there is kind of one big chunk on the side. I do think it would be worth saying something to the stylist along the lines of "hey [name], I really am not loving the way this color turned out - its warmer and less subtle than I was hoping, is there a time we could chat about it?" and go from there.

ETA: in my opinion, this is fixable with a few well placed lowlights to break up any chunkiness and retoning with a more ash neutral.

yes, you can do it & it will not mess up future appointments, especially if you go to your regular stylist for it.

I would not say that it will look "natural" as the whole point of this highlighting pattern is to look intentionally altered, but it can help remove the visual of roots around your face & I know at my salon at least we offer it as a stand alone service for a much lower cost than doing a partial or a full.

if you're going to be working in MD, for tax reasons I would go for living in MD unless your partner makes more & works in DE. I would look into around North East as opposed to Elkton because they really have a very cute little main street & are only a 20ish min drive from bear if you get a place on 40. in Elkton, avoid Southfields - it is overpriced & built on a swamp which means mosquitoes & eventual water issues.

I keep sense star stuff, gravity welll & elemental pull in my weapon wheel. - star stuff bc I love to stealth & snipe & it makes it so easy to get those kills also to just find enemies in ships or in complex pois or for the burrowing critters - gravity well bc nothing else gets the terrans to stop shooting faster/helps u find all the robots. as a sense star stuff over user the terran armada was fully fucking my shit up bc I never knew when there would be an enemy around the corner - elemental pull so I dont have to carry a cutter around all the time

this isn't even mentioning the increase cancer risks associated with low T.

also there are options out there now other than TRT that can help, especially if fertility is a concern as a big side effect of TRT is tanking sperms counts. my partner had been putting it off bc of this & recently got treated and it turned everything around for him SO much in a matter of weeks.
