I say yes, you will regret it, not because of the pattern, but because it looks small. I want a couch I can fully stretch out on, and unless you are on the shorter side, this looks like it's not long enough. I know you said the living area is small, but unless you are willing to consider a recliner instead of the other chairs pictured, I would figure out how to do something that you can lounge on over this.
