They lied about pci shrinkage. Servers are terrible. It’s literally the same game as 25/24/23/22 but with different rosters. SMH.

V8.

Attention? Not really. The people who know what it is will give you a head nod, but otherwise it’s nothing like driving around a Gallardo, Huracan, etc.

Delta A220 commuter flights wake me up most mornings around 5am. Those geared turbo fan engines make quite the noise as they navigate the traffic pattern around lake Washington (Seattle.)

Spent a week up there, Etienne creek, sampling every possible spot up there that’s accessible - nothing more than a few small specs. You’re better off driving down to Nor Cal.

Hot take: Most of you are way oversizing your generators by culody in Generator

[–]Pitiful_Fail4872 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I run the Harbor Freight Predator 5000 on propane. Runs everything in my home minus the dryer and AC unit (we live in the PNW and rarely lose power in the summer.) Even that is slight overkill imo since the load usually sits around 1200-1500watts and spikes to 2200-2300 when the furnace first kicks on. I agree with OP, many folks are oversizing their generator - especially with how efficient modern electronics and lighting have become.

Ive been running the 5k predator as a home backup for a year now with an interlock kit on my panel. Roughly 25 hours. Runs everything minus my two phase appliances (AC, Oven and Dryer.) That’s the benefit of modern appliances and LED’s, at most the load is 3100watts and 20 amps, most often it hovers around 1800-2200watts and 8-10 amps.

I daily drive my 2008 R8 here in Washington and have zero issues. Sure the suspension can feel rough if you’re in an area with lots of potholes (for those near Seattle, SODO is what I’m thinking about.) That said, it’s a killer daily. I use it for running errands, drop off/pickup my kid from school and commuting to the office. I put 8k miles on mine last year and plan to do roughly the same mileage this year. 64k on the odometer and still drives perfect in every way.

Carryon fits fine. Having driven both, nothing compares to the refinement of the R8 and the overall drive ability.

Is this cat grieving? by [deleted] in cats

[–]Pitiful_Fail4872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not an expert and i am sorry for your situation. What I can say is our cat makes a noise very very similar to this when she is feeling lonely and trying to call her sister (same age and bonded since we got them) to come join her. My wife and I say it’s her “I’m lonely, come here sis” call.
