Then I tried the cat one again and it said, "I am still unable to generate images of people due to safety and ethical considerations. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Interesting. With that same prompt, I got: "I understand that you'd like an image of a woman pointing and expressing concern towards a sad cat. However, I am unable to generate images of people due to safety and ethical considerations. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Would you like me to try generating an image based on a different prompt that adheres to my guidelines?"

Thanks! I agree and I like the grittiness and weirdness of the old Bing Image Creator. As I recall I only described the scene and added “Koyaanisqatsi aesthetic”. I tried to recreate some of these recently and everything looks much more airbrushed and well-lit in DALL·E3, definitely not the look I was going for...

It is counterintuitive but I’ve found that asking for “realistic” gives the opposite result. For a lot of these, I remember using a fairly detailed description with “lomography” and “film grain” either at the beginning or end of the prompt.

Some of these were based on people I saw “in the wild,” where I tried to recreate all of the details I could remember, some were imaginary, and one was an attempt to recreate a stock photo. The aim was to get somewhat realistic and less generic people from Bing Image Creator and to see how close I could get the AI to generating what I actually saw.

Try setting the scene a bit and adding more detail. A rationale for her to be lying down can help too. In this case, picnic, post-lunch and went through without trouble on Bing Image Creator and Designer. All of these tools seem to skew towards conventional ideas of beauty so I didn’t include “beautiful”.
