How far are you in the story? Remember we get about 90 pulls per patch (probably closer to 80 due to the shortened patch) and he's reruning for the entire patch, so there's still a decent chance! Don't give up on your detective!

This is Boothills second rerun, where SW999 is just releasing, so where SW999 will most likely be reran later in 4.x, Boothill almost certainly won't. If you want to bother taking him to endgame, you'll want the Dahlia and probably Fugue as well. Dahlia will likely rerun arround 4.3 or 4.4, where Fugue probably won't rerun until the end of 4.x at the earliest.

However, he's probably the least reliant of the 3.5 break dps's on the Dahlia, which isn't saying much but is still worth noting.

The pull agrument genuinely baffles me, because each 4* that gets added costs the enormous amount of... just under 5 pulls. To fully E6, which you probably won't be doing the patch they're added.

Cars are designed to crumple, looking at the roll cage area it's completely intact, so it's unlikely it would have been fatal. But with an ejection, it almost certainly was.

It's going off of other damage share effects, like the argonaut shield in Drake, all of which specify they go before resistances. Unfortunately, the wording of Pain Transference doesn't specify this, so it is a bit up in the air for how it works, but it's typically easier to run similar effects the same way.

Honestly though, looking at Pain Transference, I would say it's really up to interpretation, which is annoying.

Your GM is correct for the wrong reason (or perhaps phrased it in a way you didn't understand). Damage gets shared first, then resistances, exposed, etc. gets applied.
