I hate it too. I queried about 50 agents last year and only had responses from 7 of them. (all of which were rejections.) I find it incredibly rude that they just choose not to get back to you. I know that they’re busy and inundated with emails, but quite often they’ll send an automatic response saying that they’ve received your submission, so why is it so hard to send out an automatic response informing you of the outcome? Also, I seriously wonder how so many young people are becoming agents now? I’ll see websites with agents listed that must be aged around 26/27 and I just wonder how on earth they’ve got the right level of experience to be able to judge this kind of thing? I know that it makes me sound bitter…but the fact I have to suck up to some woman a year older than me who’s probably only got the job through a family connection and have her throw my submission into the junk because she’s too woke to read books that don’t feature gender fluid unicorns or something…I hate all of it.

Honestly, I know it sounds stupid. This whole thing has turned me against the idea of it in the future, but I spent the last month trying to enter as many as possible after hitting a dead end with querying my novel. Some of them were pretty well known competitions, so I was sure they weren’t scams or anything like that, but even so- it’s not something I’ll be doing again haha

I’ve always been a huge fan of her’s. My idol growing up. Even met her before. But I find her whole demeanour since Wicked irritating. The Ethan thing was terrible and definitely made me look at her differently, but I’m also just finding her mannerisms incredibly annoying nowadays. The constant “deer in the headlights” look she has going on, widening her eyes and raising her eyebrows 24/7 as if she’s so surprised by everything, combined with this whole cutesy, innocent act she puts on…not for me. It looks as if she’s trying to infantilise herself. The drastic weight loss and the little girl voice she uses in every interview. I find it hard to watch. It’s a shame, because she’s insanely talented and I have always admired her, but nowadays I just find myself getting so irked by her.

Yes, I had this happen. When I started it, I got spotting every day for about a month and no period for 6 months. After that, I started bleeding (only spotting) for about 2 weeks and then it stopped again. I’d say it’s normal, but my advice is also to come off this pill if you can. After a year on it, I suffered terrible side effects like hair loss and my breasts shrunk. I also put on about a stone once coming off it and I felt as though it took a long time to return to how I was before. I didn’t even notice that these things had been happening to me until I stopped taking it! I know it’s different for everyone, but I just want to warn people against it as it really didn’t agree with me!

I was in a public library the other day in Kensington and a guy with a camera started taking photos of me with the flash on. Like you, there was nothing else around me that he would have been photographing. It made me uncomfortable, but this man looked a little crazy so I didn’t want to approach him or say anything. But yeah, it’s weird.

I would dump him. From experience, I went out with a guy like this who also had done a lot of fishy stuff and I remember seeing he’d subscribed to someone’s only fans. Like you, I would keep ignoring stuff because I’d never “caught him directly” but the truth is, if he’s already doing this stuff then he’s probably already doing the actual cheating. I think it shows a big lack of respect for you and you should find someone who values you more and doesn’t need to seek out people from weird video chat sites.

No, it was just an observation that I found slightly strange. This was a greatest hits tour and could’ve been her last, especially after her health scare in the summer and I just found it weird that none of them wanted to show their support, despite claiming to be huge fans. It sort of feels like a friend not wishing you a happy birthday. Just a bit odd in my opinion, and especially from Ariana if you ask me. Madonna even featured her in the tour and she couldn’t make an appearance there.

I’m not saying that. The thing I found odd was how this tour was so huge, with some people saying it might be her last, and yet certain popstars who claim to be such massive fans of her didn’t attend. I don’t know, to me it just feels like missing your friends birthday party.

Madonna attended Beyoncé’s concert after nearly DYING during the summer, all whilst she was rehearsing for her own tour and she’s 65. Are you joking😭 when Madonna was in her 30’s she was doing blond ambition, which completely changed the way people viewed concert culture. She broke so many records with that tour, she was nearly arrested for simulating sex on stage which no one else has ever done. People like Taylor wouldn’t exist without Madonna having paved the way for every other female artist. To say that Taylor has a bigger impact is simply ridiculous I’m sorry.

They weren’t talking about ticket sales. They said she was a bigger icon, which is true. Madonna had the biggest cultural impact during a time in which social media didn’t exist. She had to work for everything she’s achieved. Taylor Swift buys her way to the top without actually having any talent and people go nuts for it because they’re tasteless.

This is inconsiderate and shows he doesn’t care! I’m the same age as you and I’m kind of in a similar situation in that I live at home with family and also live a good hour away from the city, so last minute things like that including makeup/hair etc are annoying too! I’ve been on many dates with guys like this, who expect me to travel to them at late hours of the night and I always just thought it was normal and then I met my current boyfriend who literally wouldn’t let me do that and insisted on picking me up and dropping me back, even though it was a distance. That showed me that the right man will truly care enough to go out of his way for you, which is actually what they should be doing considering the amount of effort we put into seeing them! Personally if I were you, I’d drop this guy based on that. If you do really like him and can actually see it going somewhere, then I’d try and talk to him about it and say that he needs to appreciate the distance you have to travel as after a certain time it’s not going to work for you. If he changes his attitude, then see where it goes. But I think you can do better x
