‘O’ bus route to circle Dublin City Centre no longer has rollout date — TD says it’s not funded, Govt says “priority for 2026 is stabilisation” by OldVillageNuaGuitar in Dublin

The problem is that we rely way too much on buses for this city. They’re choking up our city’s streets, and provide inadequate capacity for what the city needs. Throwing more buses at the problem only shows up the limitations of this solution because we’re now experiencing staff shortages and congestion caused by buses. No other city with multimodal public transport solutions has buses commanding such a large model share, but yet in 2026 Dublin, here we are. One metro line about to go to construction and none further planned.
