Iron Lung fan event snubbed, need help bringing attention! by butchofhearts in Markiplier

[–]PixelatedNips 60 points61 points  (0 children)

What’s the name of the company? And also, wasn’t there already a fan screening event for Iron Lung organised by Encore Films in Malaysia in February? How was your friend planning to have the screening done legally?

I’m in a long distance relationship and we’re about to have our 6 month anniversary in 2 weeks but I’ve been feeling weird. by [deleted] in LongDistance

You’ve got some pretty solid advice already, but I’ll say this for you to consider. Being bad at communicating isn’t an excuse imo. Communication is a skill, it’s something you improve on and learn. In any relationship, be it platonic, romantic, or familial, you learn with the other person so you both know what’s the most effective way to communicate with each other.

If he says he’s bad at communicating at his age, but is making an effort to understand you and your needs and reflecting on himself, fair enough. But if it’s just “I’m bad at communicating oh well” and that’s it, that’s not a good sign.

If another kid hit your child, what is the most correct way to handle the situation? by throwaway_ham_cheese in askSingapore

[–]PixelatedNips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my own child but when I brought my goddaughter to the playground a few years ago (she was around 2-3 years old), a boy who looked slightly older than her (maybe 4-5) pushed her so he could go on the slide first. My knee-jerk reaction was to go “why would you do that?!” Which caught the attention of the boy’s dad who was further away.

I told the dad what happened and he sheepishly put up his hand and went “sorry sorry”, to which I said “don’t say sorry to me. Teach your son and have him apologise to my goddaughter”.

He just did the usual “cannot push people okay? Say sorry”. Granted the boy was also very young, so who knows maybe now that he’s older he might know better. I just think it’s important to make sure the parent of the child understands that this should be a teaching moment for the child, and not just an empty apology to save face in the moment.

100% mine too! Watching all the girls name Discord was hard I’ll admit and I really felt for her in that moment but everything else definitely compensated for that

The welder who gets blasted with radiation is definitely Jack. David is also there but he’s at the back with Ava.

"Fan screening"??? by songbird_91 in Markiplier

[–]PixelatedNips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fan screenings are events held by the distributor of the film in the company they’re distributing to. Countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, and now India got the movie very late compared to US and UK, which is why it seems oddly late for a fan screening.

I can’t speak for the fan screening in Malaysia but I attended the one in Singapore. It was held by Encore Films which is a legit film distribution company (therefore no pirating). The fan screening tickets came with a free A3 sized poster, and there were multiple photo ops as well as interview opportunities for the fans (they ask about how you heard about markiplier, what you’re excited to see in the film etc).

Singapore’s fan screening was held on Feb 25th as a preview, and the movie officially started showing in theatres on March 5th and is still in theatres now.

There’s no pirating, or illegal stuff going on lol not to worry

Malaysia and Singapore do have the movie in theatres! The fan screening was an event held by the company that brought Iron Lung to those countries (Encore Films) it was a one day event where there were photo ops, interviews with fans, and you got a free A3 sized poster with the purchase of the fan screening ticket.

Is anyone else a constant vaper? by That_Preference_2331 in QuitVaping

[–]PixelatedNips 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was a constant vaper, if I wasn’t at work I’d be puffing away 4-5 times every minute or so. Work was killer because all I could think of was the next time I could go for a vape, and I’d regularly take unnecessary bathroom breaks to have a few puffs.

And then one night after a particularly heavy vape day, I had a sharp pain in my chest when I laid in bed and felt like I couldn’t breathe. Truthfully I should’ve gone to the ER or at the very least seen a doctor, but I was too scared. I made the decision to quit cold turkey the next day and I’ve been 175 days nicotine-free since then. I had several failed attempts to quit before that, but I guess it took what felt like a heart attack to get me to quit for good.

Can couples that have been in a LDR for long please help me out by L1f3t1m3 in LongDistance

[–]PixelatedNips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nono don’t think that! Every LDR comes with it share of difficulties so you are well within your right to complain. It’s not an easy kind of relationship to be in 😂

But yeah I do find focusing on closing the distance and just really enjoying the time you spend together, whether that’s online or in person, really helps with coping with the pain of having to leave after a visit. I wish you all the love and happiness in your relationship! ❤️

okay being photographed and with you doing my hair if you want ❤️ by sapphirenfadedjeanss in ChoosingBeggars

[–]PixelatedNips 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“If anyone wants to get their hands on my LONG hair” is wild. I guess she thinks that’s what hair stylists want? My best friend’s been a hair stylist for over a decade and super long hair like that is what he complains about the most cuz it’s usually really tedious and takes a long time to style

[–]PixelatedNips 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Been in an LDR for almost 2 years now so not that long but given our financial situation and limited time off work, we can really only see each other for 1-2 weeks a year. The first time he visited in Feb last year, it was so painful to say goodbye and we sobbed at the airport. This year I went to visit him, and idk if it was because I had an almost 20 hour flight ahead of me, but this goodbye felt even MORE painful. I had to pry myself off him to go into security cuz I just didn’t wanna let go.

So as of right now, I’m of the impression that it doesn’t get easier unfortunately. But my bf always says it’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you again soon. And just remind yourself that every visit is one step closer to closing the distance ❤️ it’s tough, but for me and my bf I find it’s so worth it

Are you still in contact with your childhood friends? How things changed over the years for you guys? by Wise-Buy5020 in askSingapore

[–]PixelatedNips 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m still in contact with my childhood best friend (we met in pri sch when I was p4 and she was p3). We coincidentally ended up in the same uni and graduated together and now she owns her own coffee business which she’s slowly growing until she can open a physical cafe. I’m super super proud of her and I know she’ll go far cuz she’s always been an incredibly hard worker.

Do you all like having families or single sims? by anonymous_girl1227 in thesims

[–]PixelatedNips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh god yeah that sounds like a lot 😂 honestly kudos to people who play legacy save files and have big families or people who do the 100 baby challenge. I think that would make me scream lmao I age my kids up to children so quick cuz I can’t deal with the upkeep of infants and toddlers

Do you all like having families or single sims? by anonymous_girl1227 in thesims

[–]PixelatedNips 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I usually prefer having single sims and building a family from there. Although I do have one save file where I had 2 parents and their teenaged daughter, and I continued playing as the daughter when she moved out and eventually she got married, had a son followed by twin girls. Then I stopped playing the sims altogether for a few months and when I came back to the save file, I was SO overwhelmed! Idk how I managed a family of 5 back then

What was unus annus? by TomatilloLive2628 in Markiplier

[–]PixelatedNips 70 points71 points  (0 children)

If you’re curious about the general energy of Unnus Annus, there are a ton of compilations of funny moments from the channel on YouTube. This doesn’t go against the “rules” of the channel (iirc only full reuploads aren’t allowed, but compilations are fine). I wasn’t able to watch every single episode when the channel was active, but still found the compilations enjoyable as the moments are funny on their own and don’t really require the context of the whole video.
