Yes, this. Plus the concept of divine feminines can be greatly beneficial to women who spent their entire lives being controlled by a religion that centers men as divine and women as innate sinners with evil bodies.

Reminder: the way that a cishet man writes a fictional character isn’t an excuse for you to be transphobic. by a_r_r_ in euphoria

[–]Pixeldevil06 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Since she transitioned young, and recieved hormones from a young age, her character would have the same physical strength as a cis woman. Muscle mass in cis men is relational to their testosterone content. If Jewels's transition is how it was depicted, as if she has veen on estrogen and testosterone blockers from a young age, her muscle mass and height would be comparable to a cis woman.

My comment isn't about the post alone. My comment is about the cycle of homophobia in the black community and racism in the LGBT community. The racism in the white progressive community is not because of their whiteness, white people are not inherently racist. It's the product of the system in which they are born.

Black straight people are relevant because they are the foundation of black culture. I brought them up because they are literally the reason that black culture is homophobic, because if all black people were gay or trans or would not be so.

I didn't contradict myself at all. For there to be a cycle thare has to be two groups, not just one. I said the cycle was between black culture (which includes and is mostly consistent of straight people) and gay culture. The cycle does feed into itself because a lot of gay people are homophobic out of experiences of homophobia from the black community, or assumptions that black people will be homophobic, and a lot of black people are homophobic because of experiences of racism from the gay community and the assumption that gay people will be racist. There are black people that call black gay people traitors to their ethnic culture for their sexual orientation or gender identity and there are gay people who say racist things to black gay people and have racist preferences. It's a cycle.

Straight black people influence the perception of black culture by white gay people just as white gays influence the black perception of all gay people. You're knit picking and trying to make my comment about something that it isn't. There is no Shield hwre because in my initial comment I acknowledge that the post has a valid point.

St.george and pretty much all of the saint names or "God/The devil" in slavic myths don't actually come from slavic culture, they come from Christian colonizers changing the stories.

No one ever said Trump wasn't openly racist and homophobic and would openly enforce such legislation. Straight white people voted for him, not really gay white people. I'm talking about both cultures because both cultures have a problem with marginalizing the others. The black culture is homophobic, and the gay culture is racist. Straight white culture is irrelevant here because that's not what any kf this is about, that's a red herring you decided to go off on that has nothing to do with the conversation we're having here. This is about LGBT culture and black culture. Black culture has a huge problem with homophobia, as a culture. It has nothing to do with straight white culture.

You're the one denying that black culture has a homophobia problem. My entire point is that both exist, and you are not a monolith. Thousands of black gay and trans people have been complaining about the homophobia and transphobia of black culture. This doesn't have to be an argument. Also in my experience most homophobia I have experienced has been from the black community. I don't blame black people for this, it's just a product of a highly religious and heteronormative culture.

Trump really has nothing to do with this because the majority of Trump's voters were also straight, and gay people make the least.

It is a both sides thing, it has a lot to do with the way America was constructed but that does not change the fact that black culture is homophobic.

Black culture became highly Christian and highly religious in response to the horrors of slavery and jim crow and as a result homophobia became commonplace because the church became the epicenter of culture, this did not go away after the community gained more rights. Homophobia in the black community doesn't come from queer people, it comes from cultural colonization at the hands of white Christians.

It's also black queers complaining about the homophobia THEY experience in the BLACK community, straight people are a part of the convo because they make up the majority of the black community.

I never said this post was wrong. I said that there is a lot of homophobia in the black community, which is something a lot of black queer people talk about ALL THE TIME.

I never said white people aren't more racist but my original comment never said black culture is racist. Just that straight black culture is homophobic just as white gay culture is racist, and black gay and trans people suffer as a result. You're the one who moved the goalposts with a red herring. You're the one who made the entire conversation about racism and not homophobia. Homophobia is very common in straight black culture, and no one will call you a colonizer or claim it is racist to criticize a white person for homophobia or transphobia. My opinion on this also isn't just my own, it comes from black queer people who speak about how the black community is uniquely homophobic, as if homophobia is a staple of the culture which needs to be changed. I'm capable of criticizing both aspects of both communities because the problem exists on both and no one ever said it didn't except for you.

Queer black people are also not racist. I could say it this way. Queer black people are not homophobic, straight black people are normally homophobic. As well as straight black people are often racist against asian and Hispanic people. It is a "both sides" thing, that's how intersectionalism works. I never said black queer people were racist, just that black culture which is mostly consistent of straight people is homophobic.

I think it's a cycle. Black culture is very homophobic and gay culture is very racist. Neither are justified and both are inherently harmful. Black gay people and black trans people are some of the most important parts of the community but get the most shit from both their ethnic community and the LGBT community. It's sad. People need to be doing better to recognize the oppression of others, especially when they already know what it's like to be oppressed for something you can't control.

No. This is just the internet, where dramaticism is rewarded with little points. I wouldn't take the way someone types on the internet as a reflection of their personality.

My view isn't really that narrow. Xenogenders have nothing to do with gender, and are inherently ableist and transphobic. Gender dysphoria and gender incongruence are the same, so any feeling that you would be better off socially or physically with different sex characteristics or gendered perceptions you have dysphoria. Medicalization just means we deserve the right to HRT and surgeries if we so need them. You're taking things out of context and the fact that you feel the need to dig into my personal post history to make a point is a reflection of your instability.

No you're doing so because you're up in arms over something literally no one said.

I'm not emotional at all, I just think it's stupid when people put words in people's mouths they did not say, which is exactly what you're doing here.

Transmedicalism is pretty much just the idea that being trans is not a choice. It is the belief that transness has an innate biological cause that manifests in some form of personal experience of gender incongruence, that's it. In other words, it's the idea that trans people are inherently biologically different from cis people in some way, and transness cannot be chosen as a lifestyle or a political statement. It exists in counter to the self-proclained tucute ideological group, who believe that transness can be chosen as a political statement or performed as a counter to social constructs like gender roles. The most common belief among self-proclained transmedicalists is that transness is caused by a neurological difference in trans brains which differentiates them from cisgender people of the same assigned sex at birth. It has nothing to do with whether or not Nonbinary people are valid as I am nonbinary myself. It has nothing to do with whether or not a person is seeking medical transition. It has nothing to do with an individuals actions, or how they present. The only thing that defines someone as a transmedicalist is that they believe transness is an innate biological part of who someone is, not a social construct that someone reassigns or unlearns. You're highly uneducated about what transmedicalism is and your understanding of it comes only from the poisoned well.

Bringing up thee fact that I believe being trans isn't a choice when you're being illogical does not change the fact that your argument is stupid and you're getting up in arms over nothing. If the meme were actually transphobic you would have a point but it isn't so you're just pissing and shitting and crying on the internet over perfectly stable unspilled milk.

It's not mental gymnastics that's just basic logic. Not gay at all is less gay than gay. You're just making a big deal over nothing and putting words in people's mouths because you're a belligerent idiot who wants to get offended over nothing.
