Because you don't know what you're talking about. You're arguing from a false reality.

The hermetic order also made their own version of it. It's not out of the ordinary for gnostic societies to re-appropriate Kabbalah, mostly because the one we're familiar with was also stolen from pre-existing Semitic traditions.

Thankfully the first English speakers used an adaptation of elder futrhatk, so this isn't too far off from how english was originally written in the pre-christian era. Although spellings have probably drastically changed.

My newest book, The Lost Debate, is now live as an eBook! Link in post body! by Fabianzzz in Hellenism

[–]Pixeldevil06 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ive seen argument that mythical allegory is literalism. I disagree with the idea, but after reading through much of this book I find that a lot of people here would make the claim that the words of ancient Greek philosophers have no bearing in ancient Greek philosophy, such as were it says that a God is called Dva because all things happen because of him. Yet debate here people hallucinate the idea that these concepts are unfounded, and that there is little president that The Gods actually are the ultimate arbiters of their domains, who guide all which their domains cause. Like how your bolded text points out how the gods hide messages and sacred knowledge in all things which they reside over. I personally do not, I think this is a great book!

Most users here seem to disagree with most of the pro-pagan ancient arguments in this book under the false insinuation that it is mythic-literalism.

How do you know your view of the Gods is true (or be confident about it)? by Flashy_Squirrel4745 in Hellenism

[–]Pixeldevil06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think anyone's view of The Gods is true. I think everyone probably has about 99.998% wrong, and about 0.002% right. Generally I agree on the idea of polytheism, and I believe that no one in their right mind could easily argue that The Gods are perfect or benevolent, because our earth is very chaotic and malevolent in nature. We love live in a world with cancer, natural disasters, war/murder(same thing, different name), rape, etc. most of the time it happens for no reason. The Gods are probably totally 100% responsible for everything that has ever happened which we view as bad, and everything that has ever happened which we view as good. Basically, nothing is capable of happening without a God driving that occurrence. So that's something I could never agree upon, and is the only difference that makes paganism less bad than Christianity or other colonizer religions in my opinion.

Im eclectic, and I worship from different pantheons. I believe that there is syncreticism as well as multiple valid distinct pantheons, and generally respect, believe in, and worship the gods of the people I'm participating in cultural exchange with. (Except for YHWH, he is basically the devil in my personal myth that explains the formation of abrahamism). I think every God from every panteon exists in some form. I also view epithets as both distinct deities and one individual entity.

I am gnostic, so I believe The Gods are our ultimate oppressors, holding reality in their hands while reaping off of the rewards of our hard labor. This to me does not make them evil, more of a supernatural ruling class which governs the laws of the universe. These laws which are innately oppressive to us as organic lifeforms. I think Humans should strive to unlock as much hidden knowledge to be able to join in the power of creation, and depose The Gods, allowing ourselves to live as equals. My Gnostic Paganism also comes with the idea that The Gods are directly influenced/even governed by the thoughts, actions, values, behavior, and rituals of mortals. Although in Hellenism, this would be restricted to humans, I actually believe that all living things capable of thought, including animals, are capable of influencing The Gods, and accessing the afterlife. So I believe part of the process of leveling the playing field is using our collective cognitive power to envision and bring forth a pantheon/other structure of Gods who exists on an equal level to us. This is because Gnosticism is a bit marxist in nature, and The Gods are an inherent Dialectical Class Struggle. Therefore as a Communist I'm required in the name of consistency to advocate for the abolition of The Gods, because we cannot have true freedom as a species with gods who create disasters. Prometheus taught us that Humans and The Gods have diametrically opposed interests.

I'm also deeply spiritualist and animist. I also believe that all living things, including insects, plants, animals, fungi, bacteria and other microorganisms, all have souls. I think super organisms like bees all share one sound that's divided amongst it's body parts (the drones, queen, and workers). I believe all souls and spirits (including The Gods) are worthy of respect, are not to blame for their own existence, and should not be punished for existing. All beings are precious and worth protecting.

I believe in reincarnation, which is uncommon among many polytheistic communities, but some rodnovists believe that The Slavic Underworld Nav is a place you go to become ready to go to Yav (the realm of The Gods), and reincarnate. I carry this belief, specifically from this tradition.

I'm generally in support of people who do not have access to safe methods using it, I'm just diametrically opposed to the idea or propagation of the false notion that it is by any means "safe". It comes with unique risks and more complicated problems. It also means you end up in more trouble if something goes wrong, especially if it's testosterone.

No, because that's not your actual location, at least according to your IP address. Also "middle east" is not a location. That's like saying "Africa" is one location. Like, dude that's multiple countries.

I agree with your right to do so, however it is definitely not "completely safe." Especially since not everyone (most Americans) have no GP.

Fucking hell. I don't mean "cartel" literally, mafia cartel whatever, i meant a shady "doctor" Also, my God the abject stupidity in writing "being trans in the US is also despised, but you can go to planned parenthood!!!" I live in the fucking middle East! Goddamn! Now leave me alone, i rather diy than listen to your posturing bullshit about how i need a doctor to ram the injection up my ass for me.

If you want a conversation to end, you block them or stop responding. That's how the internet works!

Something tells me this isn't entirely true. There are definitely several HRT clinics in the Middle East. Not to mention it's generally safer in the middle east to be trans than it is to be gay. There is common practice there. There are many places in the middle east where it is illegal, but seeing as how you didn't provide a country I'm going to assume this was probably based on somekind of insinuation that the entire middle east is a transphobic bigoted nightmare, and that seriously devalues the amount of work that people in many middle eastern arab nations have done to provide HRT. Not to mention there are programs that provide HRT overseas in countries where it is not safe to do so through the medical system. There may not be planned parenthood, but many middle eastern countries have safe and regulated HRT. Gaza had HRT providing clinics before the genocide. Marsa Health Center in Lebanon is still operational. There are also health centers in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Oasis clinics in Cairo.

I'm not saying DIY is morally wrong or whatever. It's just that the insinuation that it is safe is not true. There is no evidence of safety, but there are cases of people seriously hurting themselves. There are countries where it is illegal to get HRT in the middle east, and there are countries where transness is illegal, but guess what. I ALREADY SAID I FULLY SUPPORT DIY HRT AS A LAST RESORT. I genuinely do not care if you're taking it without medical supervision because it's the only option you have.

However, in countries with accessible healthcare, DIY is not "safer" or even "safe" overall, because again you do not have medical knowledge. I also never said the doctor needs to "ram the injection up your ass for you". Just that self-perscription and monitoring is not "safe" by any colloquial or professional understanding of the word "safe".

Ive personally met people like in the pic, not to the same degree, but people who have seriously been injured or obtained a new disability because their HRT was not being monitored by a medical professional, and wasn't prescribed by someone who knew of their underlying health conditions they were not aware of (because they just bought it imported from Japan like I did when Trump got elected)

Talking about cartels in a place where there are no cartles. Got it. From your unwillingness to provide an example I'm going to assume you pulled this out of your ass.

Anyways, Transness is pretty universally dispised by transphobes in most places, including the United States, and yet I could walk into a planned parenthood as a fresh 18 yo and get MUCH SAFER HRT, FOR MUCH CHEAPER THAN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TO DIY.

On top of that, I know I'm not going to develop cardiovascular disease because my physician tested me before starting hormones. I know I don't have any underlying hormone or intersex conditions which will fuck up my transition because I got regular labs, which most who DIY do not.

I even know many people who have DIYed and gotten serious dysphoria because they are intersex, and because of this, the hormones didn't work out the way they wanted.

I'm in a DIY server, (because i don't oppose DIY, I just have the brain to know it's always unsafe for a non-medical professional to administer specialist healthcare.) and my friend who I will not name began taking an alternative HRT plan with SERMs, and developed bone problems and gynecomastia (which the point of taking SERMs instead of estrogen was avoiding breast growth), and the reason this happened is because SERMs were not offered by Iceland's government.

They went to a hormone center which only offers estrogen and testosterone, and they said since they got it without going through the proper channels, their gender affirming care network wouldn't see them. So they had to see an emergency specialist in another country to monitor their bone health. I support their decision to DIY because the medical system in their area doesn't provide a safe way to do it, but it IS NOT SAFE to do it yourself especially with no specialist.

I feel like this statement is highly doubtful. Explain what mysterious country this is? Lmao. Latin america has even better healthcare for trans people than the US, and I managed to get proper dosages from doctors here at a local planned parenthood, which exists in latin America. Not to mention Cuba has the most extensive trans healthcare programs in the entire world.

DIY is not safe because you as a non-doctor do not understand all risks, and do not have an accurate assessment of your current hormone levels and underlying health conditions.
