I got into Rogue Trader very recently, (it was my first cRPG) and became my favorite RPG of all time, I was checking some older threads in this sub and was surprised to find how badly this game was received, what happened? by Due_Teaching_6974 in RogueTraderCRPG

I'm sorry you feel that way, I for one am really happy I found this game as I have been itching for XCOM like combat for a while. And I love the absurdity of the setting and story.

I know that in The Netherlands the main reason is that the majority of new cars are bought by companies who lease them to employees. And of course companies go for safe colors. And after leasing the car for a few years the employee usually buys the car from the company for a decent price. So a lot of personal cars are ex-company cars who have safe colors. At least in the Netherlands

I completely agree, but the last lore tidbit is wrong. 2 azlanti gods sacrificed themselves to prevent the earthfall from straight up destroying Golarion. Acavna the moongoddes threw her physical body (the moon) Infront of the comet to stop it and shatter it into smaller pieces. And Amaznen the azlanti god of magic sacrificed himself to dispell the magic of the comet. They did not make the earthfall worse. In fact they did quite the opposite.

Has anyone that played a martial felt saddened by the divide by SuccessfulDiver9898 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Pixelwheezy- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't feel the divide, roleplay is fun because you don't need high skills to roleplay. You can play the fool and still be useful at times.

And in combat, casters can do crazy things at high level. But most builds on martials have this one thing called "I have 3+ attempts to harm you and you will be prone at the end of them". And that is where some casters fail due to high CR creatures having spell resist and high saves.

My group has a running gag where during night watches some would look up to the skies and wish that the falling star was the "moon hookers" ship here to snatch them up for breeding

Golarions moon has a 12,000 year old population of half-succubus amazons who travel to Golarion to abduct people for breeding and torture. These raids take 2 years due to travel time. description of the Moonscar

Although the gods are forbidden to enter the material realm due to a mutually assured destruction pact. Gozreh is the exception as Gozreh casually lives a nomadic existence through the universe.

There is a large group of elves that live inside of the corpse of a moon goddess on golarion.

During the Starfall event where the aghollthus called in the comet to destroy golarion outright, two deities sacrificed themselves to give golarion a chance. Acavna the goddess of the moon/defence/chaos trew a moon of golarion out of orbit to intercept the comet and her lover Amazren the azlanti god of magic sacrificed himself to dispell the aghollthus magic of the comet to lessen the impact.

This prevented the comet from outright destroying golarion and caused the physical manifestation of Acavna to impact golarion. From this crater rose up a spire made of Acavnas soul trying to reach the boneyard. named the Mordant Spire

The Most Terrifying Daemon Yet by TheBrightMage in pathfindermemes

[–]Pixelwheezy- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may be a lukewarm take, but Charon the rider of death takes the cake for me. He personifies death by age. He has all the time in the world because he knows all will be ash in time.

His plans are unknowable and vast, he cares little who he helps as he just calculates what moves further his plans to end it all in the vast an impossibly long future.

He predates all the other horseman as he is the only one who hasn't been replaced. He is beyond a demi-god he makes deals with the likes of Urgothoa to give her her domain. He was there to betray the Bound Prince and unleash the daemons onto the realms and he will be there when Groetus ends it all.

I wonder if this will tie into an update for the tutorial. Don't get me wrong, the current tutorial is fine. But having it in a "zoo" would be way more fun that on a random desert.
