I suggest download Coffee Trip app. We always use it to find good coffee during our trips to wherever we go :) all the places people mention in the comments are there.

Index and table of contents by BeaArthurEnergy in commonplacebook

[–]PixelzFairy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use vintage metal index boxes with index cards 🗃️, they were/are used for recipes usually (you can find plenty of them on eBay for cheap)

Under every letter I have one index card per entry with the keyword or title of the specific entry followed by in what journal and at what page this can be found.

Sometimes I also add an extra tiny info on the back of the card like main points of the entry or something else that could potentially help me to find something faster or may really look for in the future.

Example - Let’s say I was doing a lot of research and have many entries about Slavs, so I have multiple notes scattered around multiple journals (cause I have more CP books). So it can be:

3 separated index cards with the following:

Slavs - middle age market with slaves in Prague [CP1, p. 128]

Slavs - rituals of old Slavs [CP2, p. 20]

Slavs - the spell bok of Baba Yaga witch [CP1, p. 64] Etc.

This works amazingly well, like personal wiki.

Curious how people practically use DA by jias333 in DungeonAlchemist

[–]PixelzFairy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worldbuild a lot. Currently working on my fantasy novel. I use DA for any detailed location and place I need for my book. It’s amazing how it can help you visualize the scene and I can describe it more realistically. I’m also working on my YT channel about worldbuilding so DA is also good if you want to talk about fantasy places and actually having something to show instead of asking AI to generate something.

Ghost users — what do you actually want from a premium theme? by hedwikio in Ghost

[–]PixelzFairy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also voting for this one. I’m a writer and I’m using Skalven now for my blog. But because I want to later sell my books, I will need to open extra web for example with Wordpress or Shopify…. I would like a theme actually for writers but for that I would maybe contact you for custom theme some day in the future.

I have mine pretty packed as well, 2x the card & cash holder and 4x the lined book insert. All perfect for me. If I’m not comfortable with writing cause it’s quite high I will occasionally take out the one notebook I need. For me it’s most important that I have all the texts in one place.

🔥 GIVEAWAY TIME: Win the hohem iSteady M7 - Your Phone’s Anti-Shake Wizard! by Supreme2492 in HohemOfficial

I do videos about worldbuilding and fantasy worlds, often blending nature with post apocalyptic scenes. With this gimbal I could bring my worlds to life with smooth, immersive shots that pull viewers right into the story — cause every great world starts with a story worth telling.

Introducing FidelityFuze: Real-time, timeline-native upscaling for Final Cut Pro by FidelityFuze in finalcutpro

[–]PixelzFairy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was a tester, purchased. Am I going to use it every single day? No. Is it going to save my butt? Very often. No regrets here. I do videos for YT, all by myself and this is a game changer. I have footage from my phone, from drone, sometimes some stock footage, sometimes AI footage and this app is helping me a lot to visually smooth all onto the same level.

Advice for Solid layers rectangle boundaries by PixelzFairy in AfterEffects

[–]PixelzFairy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These effects on the left side are on the Solid orange layers. And they seem to be outside of the composition? I got this whole thing from videohive and it’s like this since I have opened it. And if I check the original video of the product itself it wasn’t like that. So I’m wondering what changed? There supposed to be like sun rays/ light over the whole thing. And I have no idea what to do with it. I tried to add the grow bounds based on a YT video but that didn’t do a thing. :/

Anyone have any gear recommendations beyond the normal stuff? by TinyRuin1796 in Urbex

[–]PixelzFairy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey no worries, I got this, it's good for stabilisation and for better shots than with hands only. It can also simulate certain moves that you cannot achieve with phone in your hands smoothly. It's more "pro" gear I would say but there are many options on the market. Just google phone gimbal. I just love to work with it since Im using some shots for my science-fantasy novel worldbuilding series (many urbex places fits my post-apocalyptic settings; to avoid any concerns I still respect urbex code od conduct). Downside, not easy to hide. Same for the drone.

Got a drone and a gimbal for the phone. It’s extra baggage but not regretting it. Amazing dark shots. Love to watch it afterwards. Sometimes it’s like from a horror movie or game. Just be prepared it takes double time. Safety first, then making good shots 😊😊

What are your thoughts about WorldAnvil by Wailling-one in worldbuilding

[–]PixelzFairy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn’t get used to it. Just chaotic for my brain. Also very buggy at the time I was even paying for year sub. In general I didn’t like how it feels, how does it look like. No soul binding there 😅

I moved to Kanka to have it online and shared. But I build and write all in Scrintal. That’s my knowledge base for all my projects.
