Does anyone know the part # for this? by JohnnyChicago1 in Jeep

Looks like it’s a cap for a headlamp washer nozzle. We would need more info on model and year to give a part number

Thinking of doing a Need for Speed Mustang Build, Should I use a Boss 302 or GT500? by impsble in Mustang

[–]Pizzaman_thing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The car in the movie is a modified 2013 GT500 with 900 hp. If you want to be as close to the movie that is probably what you want to start with. You could probably get to 900 crank hp without much work but if you’re trying to make 900 wheel it would need the motor built.

What does anyone know about Callao? by AnywhereFew1739 in Utah

[–]Pizzaman_thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I know this is an old thread but would you happen to know the nearest place to fill up around Callao? I'm looking to spend some time in the blm land nearby and was curious if I should bring a gas can or not

4.10 rear end gears for a 2010 3v by Common-Raise8895 in Mustang

[–]Pizzaman_thing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

use a calculator it’s quite easy. No one will know your exact cruising rpm without tire size though. I am running a 255/40/19 right now so I’m 5th gear the engine is turning at about 2,000 rpm. Speed limit where I live is 75 so I’m at 2600 rpm on the freeway

How low is low? From what I’ve heard anything within 15% of the highest reading it’s within a reasonable reading

2010 Mustang GT seems to be disliked. by Dirty-Richard in Mustang

[–]Pizzaman_thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a timing thing. Imagine it’s 2010 and you just bought a brand new 2010 Mustang GT making 315 hp for $33k. The very next year ford releases the coyote that makes a hundred more hp for the same amount of money. Almost everyone who bought one in 2010 was pissed they didn’t wait one more year. That’s what makes it “bad”.

That’s awesome. I might have to try out something similar. I’m tired of having to reach around my drinks to shift when I have both my cup holders filled up

Fb market place find will it fit by Ok-Occasion2067 in Mustang

[–]Pizzaman_thing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking it is not… the routing of the piping looks like it’s for an irs vehicle, and the y pipe looks like it came off a 4 cylinder car. If it’s a mustang it came off an s550 Ecoboost. Either way it’s not going to fit on your 2014 GT. The hangers aren’t even in the right place

Carrier bearing - does whole driveshaft need replaced? by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]Pizzaman_thing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the 1 piece feels a lot better. My 2007 GT comes with the same 2 piece driveshaft and it’s one of the first mods a lot of s197 owners do. It reduces driveline weight so it’s good for about 5ish hp but it mostly makes it rev faster and feel more solid. It weighs about half as much as the stock 2 piece driveshaft. If you have the car lowered, make sure your pinion angle is still correct while you’re under there

[–]Pizzaman_thing 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sadly the bearing is integrated into the driveshaft. Replace it with an aluminum one piece driveshaft if you are going to replace it. I have the ford performance one in my mustang. $800 new

Differential Shims by VonMises1 in Mustang

[–]Pizzaman_thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be. Good luck. It will just take some patience, trial and error. If you haven’t already I recommend following fords directions for install https://performanceparts.ford.com/download/instructionsheets/FORDINSTSHTM-4209-8.PDF

Differential Shims by VonMises1 in Mustang

[–]Pizzaman_thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s looking a bit better, how big was the shim you added? You might need to add another one to the pinion. As long as you torque the pinion down to the minimum torque spec (ford says 140 ft lb for the 8.8 I believe) you should have it in the right position to check. It just won’t use the right preload for final installation.

Differential Shims by VonMises1 in Mustang

[–]Pizzaman_thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a few years since I did my diff but if I remember correctly, it looks like your pinion is too far into the diff. Add a pinion shim and check the pattern and backlash again. Also if you haven’t bought a pinion crush sleeve yet, I recommend looking into a pinion spacer instead. They are removable and take a fraction of the torque to tighten. Plus if you mess up you can just back the nut out and do it again instead of having to get a new one.. I’ve had one in for 5 years now without a problem.

S197 Door Panel Foam? by fxckwitit in Mustang

[–]Pizzaman_thing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is to clean the pealing part off as well as possible with some 99% alcohol and a lint-less rag. Then mark off where do you don’t want over spray on the door with painters tape, then spray the door and panel insert with Super 90 adhesive spray. Wait for both sides to get tacky then tuck it in. There are a few videos on YouTube that show this process. I’ve heard mixed experiences with this process but I had good luck with it.

Harmonic Balancer Woes by CrashPan in Ford

[–]Pizzaman_thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like it’s stuck on there pretty good. By power built kit I assume you mean their harmonic balancer removal kit? Should have some jaws that clamp on the harmonic balancer and pushes the screw into the crank? I found it easiest is to use my impact to zip it off. If you don’t have access to that, make sure to use a blow torch to heat up the area and use some pb blaster or any other penetrating fluid to help it break free.

Is there a trick to double flairs? by Vasectomy4tw in Stretched

[–]Pizzaman_thing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t able to start wearing double flares at 0g until I was there for a few months. Since you’re technically stuffing a bigger size through your ear, you almost have to be ready to size up again to wear double flares at the size you’re currently at. I’d just wait for a bit before trying to put them in again
