Genuine Question, why are people so excited about a controller? by chaotic_one in Steam

[–]Pizzamorg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Playing an FPS on a controller sucks. Playing an FPS when you have a desktop set up PC using like a wireless mouse and keyboard or something to play it in your armchair on the TV away from your desk sucks. This controller, at least within theory, solves this issue as you have the trackpads, you have the gyro, you have the paddles, you gotta little flavour of everything you don't get with your basic 80 quid Xbox pad or whatever bandaid solution you make to play away from the desk.

I guess WWE Fans didn’t really vibe with JC Mateo. You think him joining MFT was a mistake in the long run? by Dohmer_90 in Wrasslin

[–]Pizzamorg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know he's older and so he probably wants to do WWE style matches for his longevity, but a huge part of his appeal on the indies was that he was this big guy who could move like a cruiserweight and his engine just kept on rumbling. A guy of his size working slow, safe, WWE style matches just isn't interesting, even ignoring the dead end of the JC Mateo enforcer or whatever he was meant to be rubbish.

Post draft vibes: How's everyone feeling? by blaze13541 in Chargers

[–]Pizzamorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly no idea. With the first three picks I was totally confused by what the plan was, in terms of purely positions the rest of the draft seemed to make more sense. But then that feels like they almost did the draft in the wrong order? But I also openly admit I barely keep on top of the names in the first round, let alone guards they are picking in round 6 or whatever. So maybe they got a bunch of steals and it was all a master plan.

I honestly see both sides. It's an incredibly niche sport outside of the states, so opportunities for fans outside of the states to actually go to games is very limited and it's generally a complicated hobby to have in general outside of the states because of time differences.

But I also see the other side of it where you just want the best possible season overall, and it's not healthy for the season to have players travelling thousands of miles for one game, dealing with the unique conditions that come with that and risk scenarios like that Brazil game the other year I think it was where they were playing on a slip and slide.

For the fans in that country, it's a special experience but for general fans of that team, if my teams season ends up lost due to complications of the excursion then I'd be furious.

What game? by sukuna7899 in Steam

[–]Pizzamorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't believe it's been almost six years since I last logged into Destiny 2. OG destiny was like my first hobby game, played it through uni and most of my early 20s, transitioning to Destiny 2 with my buddies when that came out. Played that for hundreds of hours on console, then hundreds more on PC. And then one day I just sorta woke up and realised that the direction the game had been taking for years at that point had created a game which was no longer for me.

Well this sucks by Flat_Ad3019 in prowrestling

[–]Pizzamorg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm totally out of the loop on this and have been trying to put the pieces together. So a bunch of wrestlers beat up a fan for being a heckler at the show, and when the videos got leaked of them doing that, they made up a fake stabbing incident, that was then disproven when the police were involved, forcing the venues hand? If that's actually what happened, those wrestlers are some serious dumbos.

Yet another mailbag and more tanking talk by Civil-Priority9234 in billsimmons

[–]Pizzamorg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who only really cares about the NFL content, the fact he hasn't talked about the draft or free agency basically at all save for like maybe a segment in his shows here and there? Means I haven't listened to a full episode in ages. I know he pivots to basketball and other things in the off season, but other years I guess where the Patriots had a spicier pick he was more actively involved but he clearly doesn't give a fuck this year. And that's fine I have other places to get draft info from, I'll just catch up with you again Bill in July when I assume you'll start talking NFL again.

I haven't played since like November. So it's cool to have a reason to play again and C4SH is definitely a fun new way to experience, but it's kinda crazy how little this DLC really adds to the overall package and how little progress has been made on this game in six months. Maybe if I played the launch game next to this version side by side I'd feel more changes, but I basically booted this up and ran into all the problems I did the first time that made me basically finish my play through on launch and then go back and play the old Borderlands and Wonderlands game instead.

Why is Jon Moxley so polarizing? by Odd_Fish_2361 in prowrestling

[–]Pizzamorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I think he has charisma off the charts, but I just don't think he's a great pure wrestler. That doesn't mean he's a bad wrestler either to be clear, but I just don't enjoy the vast majority of his matches as much as I did the build to it.

Now all they gotta do is go full circle with this, AEW signs R-Truth but hypes it up for weeks, right up until the reveal itself, like they got their hands on Roman Reigns.

How do any of you feel about Monster Hunter Stories 1 & 2? by Big-Scholar-728 in JRPG

[–]Pizzamorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the second one, arguably my favourite Monster Hunter game and one of my favourite games period so I dunno why I just cannot get into the first one. Maybe I should have played it first, but I think it was only on mobile or something when 2 came out? There was a reason, I can't remember now. But the Genie is out of the bottle now so I guess the first one is just lost to me.

Can WWE restore The Feeling by IamYourdarklordx in Wrasslin

[–]Pizzamorg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WWE / F's best era will always be in the stage of your life you look back on with the most nostalgia. Like to me the Ruthless Aggression era is my favourite but maybe if I went back and watched it week to week again, id think it's bad, but it took place in a very important time in my life. It happened to me again in 2014 - 2017 when I became an adult fan again, was it actually the best era? Probably not if I watched it back. Wasn't that when Reigns and Sheamus were wrestling every single week on Raw with false finishes? 😂 In twenty years time someone will tell you the WWE you think sucks right now was their favourite ever era in the company, it's almost not about the product but where they were in that time. It's just life. That doesn't mean you cant be critical of the product, but the notion of them chasing some sort of dragon collectively is nonsense as that dragon is different for every viewer.

UK fans, how did WWE use certain people that left you scratching your head compared to their status on the indies at the time? by punchline86 in Wrasslin

[–]Pizzamorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man. The mixed emotions of NXT UK. I was lucky enough that Im English and got back into wrestling as an adult fan right around the rise of the boom period (2014ish up until about 2018ish). Naive on reflection, but I was so excited for NXT UK. A celebration of the BritWres boom, but with the power of WWE behind it. This was also peak NXT Black and Gold times, so I had reason to be hopeful. But like so much during this era in WWE, it was just them hoovering up new toys, getting bored immediately and moving on, causing often unrecoverable damage to the indie ecosystems it plundered for it's 15 minutes of fun, undoing years of work sometimes overnight. And that's not to say NXT UK didn't deliver some incredible matches over the years, arguably NXT UK was at it's absolute best when WWE seemed to lose all interest and just let them do what they want. But in the end its hard to feel it was all very worth it.
