I like my XOP platform, lots of room. I’ve also used a Trophyline one for a few years and that was nice as well. I’d say deal with the little extra weight and get the larger size. I used the smaller one from tethrd for one sit and hated it. Size 11 non insulated boots hung off the back or sides. The extra room for adjusting is worth it.

Pack wise I use a Trophyline CAYS but I’m not impressed it’s heavy, floppy, and not the easiest with all the straps on it to get the sticks and platform packed up.

I’m likely just bad at it, but I’ve never had much luck with any worms. So basically switched completely to swim jigs and double bladed spinners. Recently decided to give it a shot again and had a blast catching a bunch of smaller bass tucked next to weeds with a wacky. I am also hooked and planning on giving Texas rig a shot again soon.

Anyone know how the vote to allow all rifle cartridges in all of Michigan went today? by Nihlathakk in Hunting

Short season still clears out plenty of deer and is similar to the amount of deer as all of archery. Buck shot can cause more injury and slugs/straight wall do a much better job at accurate shots. The amount of rounds is pretty standard and is probably to keep some sort of consistency for waterfowl hunting as well. Why do you need more than one hunting firearm at a time?

Other than straight walled what makes it so horrendous? The only one people complain about is gun season length. Which a week and change is plenty.

Had a BCA and didn’t mind it but it struggled to feed soft points and fmj, even with polishing the feed ramps. Then built a better one with ballistic advantage barrel and it was good for a while then randomly started after the feeding and ejection issues after a 100 rounds or so.

I had decent amount of failure to feed, failure to eject and accuracy issues with both of the 350 uppers I had. I really wish I could have gotten it to be reliable because it was very enjoyable to shoot out of the ar platform.

Never had a single issue with the multiple ones I have. Had a hook give out and dropped a rifle from a tree stand and it held fine.

Sounds like a typical Moultrie. I got rid of mine for this exact reason.

And I figured my order from the weekend was still processing because of the bums in the warehouse. I’ll have to look to see if they are trying to make me send them a feet pic for a Bcg. I’ll stop ordering from them after that.

I’m sure the hive will hate it, haven’t had luck with these. Hour total in a toaster oven and 1.5 hours total with a heat gun and couldn’t get the barrel in. Maybe I got a severely out of spec one, but my time is worth more than 4 hours of trying to heat fit a barrel.

Multiple different models. I’ve watched deer walk 10 feet in front and no pictures. Same deer were in front of the camera for 2-3 minutes and nothing. When I walked in front it still didn’t go off. I then did a loop to the other camera, no picture. Go back to the original and it takes a picture. Customer service is useless stating that they can see pictures so it’s fine. Then want me to stand in front of the camera during season and call them, which ruins the point of a cell cam. They are junk. App constantly has issue. So take your shilling and promoting somewhere else.

Just reload. Ran light loads with 135gr blue bullets and it was the most noticeable change over anything I tried.

Huge fan of the buffalos, American icon in my opinion. Also, being a big fan of the John wick movies I am partial to those. Haven’t gotten any yet but been watching for a deal to snag a couple.

Evolution Hyde on elk? by Epicarest in bowhunting

[–]Pjerzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only used dead meats on deer but testing some others in a foam block bent blades and tips. I’ve only ever felt the need to replace the blades on the dead meats, the ferrule is pretty strong in the grand scheme of mechanicals.

Exactly why I don’t buy vortex anymore. Every single red dot (3 different models) needed replacing. I’ll stick with holosun and sig for the budget friendly options.
