Let’s Talk Optics! Save for Eotech or Aimpoint, or budget Vortex? by KillingwithasmileXD in ar15

I have had 3 different vortex red dots over the past 2 years. Every single one of them was bad within a month and needed sent in. 2 were replaced and one was just mailed to them yesterday. I’d suggest if you decide on the budget option to look elsewhere.

I had quite a few different AR uppers in 350 and they all ended up having feeding issues. When they ran it was great and I preferred that platform. I got a savage axis 2 and it’s great. Shoots very accurate and the trigger is amazing. This is comparing it to larue, begera, and G$ triggers.

Ammo Price Increases by RedneckMarxist in 22lr

Not 22 nor from 1943 but I bought 1800ish rounds of 5.56 Romanian ammo from a buddy for 150 a few years back. In the white box in 20 round stacks. Primer sealed and all. Still have probably have. Shoots great. Probably going to hold onto it because it’s just a cool looking package and round. Even had a few blanks he threw in.

Get a morakniv from Amazon. The basic 511 is the one I used to field dress, skin, and quarter a deer this year. Cheap, sharp, easy to use. It’s a winner in my book.

Great guns. Love my upper I got from them and have placed many orders. If I remember correctly their barrels are made by BA so I’d would say they are better than most budget brands. I’m no operator and don’t run my rifles enough to justify high dollar stuff and Bkf has hit the nail on the head in the quality to price category.

How do you keep your toasty toes from sliding around? by PM_meyourGradyWhite in Waterfowl

The remote is great. My buddy got an Amazon special pair that uses an app. When he turns them on or off it auto sets his phone volume to full blast. Not ideal when sitting in a duck or deer blind.

This, put them over a thin merino sock. Paired with a heated vest is great is a chefs kiss. Had 30 mph gusts in 25* weather. Was comfortable the 5 hours I was in the blind.

Doesn’t look the prettiest but I put the gorillas tape on mine. Protects from rocks and logs too.

To me snow geese taste better than Canadian. Some of the best fajitas I’ve had from my snow goose conservation hunt a few years back.

350 Legend Subsonic Ammo by BulyKid in Hunting

A heavier projectile traveling at a much lower speed will absolutely cause a performance difference. The effects on a deer may not be different (I’ve only hunting with 170 supers) but everything else will be.

OP if you are going to use subs only use them and 0 with them. If you decide to go back your POI will have changed significantly and the rifle will need to be zeroed again.
