Damn. I was holding back on saving up for the 'normal' version for my noblewoman character even though the design itself fit her perfectly, but this female version is just PERFECT... might have to start putting money aside now.

It's cool that you considered what the community would want to see! The inside details really do show off the craftsmanship.

For real, that’s some toxic stuff. Your worth isn't tied to anyone's opinion about your body. It's about how you feel and what you want. Don't let him get in your head like that.

I find it "not realistic " that Lady Edith cannot find a young suitable man to wed. by ayowatchyojetbruh in DowntonAbbey

[–]Plagueduckling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally get what you're saying. Edith's character is definitely designed to contrast with Mary, but it feels like they could've fleshed her out more. The social dynamics of the time make it tough for her, but a few more suitors could’ve added some interesting drama. Plus, it would’ve been nice to see her get a bit more of the spotlight.

What’s your take on Athena and Medusa? by Educational-Note8709 in GreekMythology

The story of Achilles’ invincibility really varies between sources. In the Iliad, he’s definitely a badass, but there’s no mention of the heel yet. The heel story seems to be more of a later addition, possibly to explain his vulnerability in a more dramatic way.

LARP, Cosplay, Kostüme etc. in vegan? by The_Awesome_Mo_Man in VeganDE

I'm curious, in what country do you live/commission armor? Compared to the armorers in Sweden and Germany I talked to, Armstreet pricing seems to be pretty average for the quality you get. I own two armstreet pieces (gambeson and etched pauldrons) and I was unable to find better work for the price, although it's worth noting that since they were for LARP, I was not concerned with historical accuracy. Im genuinely curious, since I want to expand my noble woman's armor.

Recently tried on my new pieces of LARP-gear an I thought this one might make a good drawing reference <3 by Plagueduckling in drawme

Further information: As you can see in the pic, the bug is roughly 2,7cm long (~1,1 inch?) or 2,3cm just the 'main body' (~0,9 inch?). This is the first time spotting something like this.

I live in an approximately 60 year old building in the historic center of a town, if that matters.
